I really wish this information was available before we wasted each other’s time. I’m willing to pay a modest amount to permanently disable ads. Or full price for a full game. I will never play a game that doesn’t let me have a permanent ad free experience. Period.

Can’t really see the food you drop. Can’t upgrade tank sizes so have to start over when you want a bigger tank. Can’t limit notifications (eggs hatched, fish are hungry, fish are grown). The 3D aspect doesn’t help much and looks worse for jellyfish tank (compared to Fish Farm 3). Fewer sustainability features are available by playing, and require monetary purchases.

I believe that this aquarium game is worth the effort, if you have enough patience. I do however, have a critique to make about the newest changes to the UI. I think that the new UI could use some of the characteristics of the old UI, to make the game more streamlined. To begin with, the old version had a way of showing statistics that didn’t feel too extra. It allowed you to see the percentage of fish in your aquarium and how hungry your fish are, without having to manually look at them, with all of the extra statistics being manual. For me personally, this made the process easier. Furthermore, the style of the UI was simplistic, but effective. I personally didn’t find it distracting too much from the aquariums when viewing them. I can understand that maybe the stats seemed too spread out, or that the Style of the UI felt too bland and those are valid, though I would have encountered them differently. For the new UI, I think it’s going for a more game-like esthetic which is nice, but it feels a little bit clunky in some areas like stats and style. Having to more manually look at those stats, feels like an extra step to do now, feeling somewhat unnecessary.More so the new look stands out a lot. So much so that I personally think it doesn’t blend in as well with the aquariums when being viewed. On top of that while viewing your aquarium, the new hunger bar and the alert icon along with it, is harder to see when multiple fish are grouped together. Over all the new UI is a good idea, but it could use some more practicality. Not to mention, a lot of the other qualities are still pretty efficient. Again I think it should include some of the original characteristics to be more streamlined. Other than that I appreciate the updates. With other decent aquarium games out there, including this one, they seem to be kinda far in between so good job and keep up the good work. To be honest I’m not I am the best writer in the world, so I hope I was able get my idea across clear enough at the very least.

Super fun and chill game takes a while to progress and get money but graphics and gameplay are super solid. Lots of fish variety and aquariums to build. Would love to see a dlc where you can own a shop or something will gladly pay money for that

The 3d models are awesome, the mechanics are cool, but even through buying and selling fish (as you mentioned in a separate reply) but it just seems a bit slow to level up. Edit: I don’t actually mind the leveling up process that much anymore. Some things like larger tanks are “overpriced” so far for me, but I’m still pretty early on (level 15) so I may see things differently soon. Graphics are great!!! You can really do whatever you want with the aquascaping and that’s really cool. Also: I LOVE how the damselfishes will go attack other fish lol, it adds to the realism. Looking at the update log, it’s awesome to see that the game is actively being worked on and added to. Moorish idol and cleaner shrimps could be added if they haven’t been already! And maybe some species of starfish? They could very slowly shift around the aquarium over time. (Again I’m early into the game so these may already be things). Also being able to heart your neighbors tanks would be sweet! Anyways, I love the ocean and marine bio so I think this game is pretty cool :)

I tried submitting a review w week ago and it looks like it didn’t get through. Is the app store deleting negative reviews? Anyway, what I loved about this series was how fair and reasonably priced it was. You could purchase a few addons in 2 & 3 to unlock the entire game without needing to engage with ads or further micro-transactions. This was very fair and I was happy to drop $15-20 for a complete game. Fish Farm 4 is the complete opposite. At every turn I feel like I'm being extorted for money to make progress. Prices are high, and you need a ridiculous amount of the paid currency to make any real progress. The whole game is so greedy compared to past entires. And while the fish look better than past entries, the 3D tanks floating in a void actually feel worse to look at than the full-screen, static environments in 3. All around, this entry is a massive disappointment from my formerly favourite aquarium series. I suggest playing 3 instead.
