Bao Game helps in developing strategic thinking skills in an enjoyable way. The game also provides fun, enjoyment, social interactions and relaxation. The game has inbuilt “Learn” mode, available by selecting Menu > Preferences > Level > Learn. Available moves are highlighted in pink for user to choose from and play.
Learn mode makes Bao game easy to learn, enjoy and develop strategic thinking skills.
Word “WIN” is displayed on the winning side.
To Restart the game, click Menu > Restart or click button labeled “X” on the game board display.
The user may play against human or computer, allowing for fast learning, and enjoyment of this unique game.
If play against computer, select level 1, 2, 3 or “Learn” level 3 being most challenging. Select “Menu > Preferences > Level”. Assistance to make a single move is also available; click Menu > Show Move.
One may change the move speed of the computer, to either slow, normal or fast. Move speed settings are on “Menu > Preferences”.
Beautiful sets of colors are provided for user to select and use for board and seeds. These color options are available on selection of Menu > Preferences.
Typically seeds in a Bao game hole would be scattered, however, Bao Electronic Board Game allows the user to view seeds as either scattered, arranged or counted digits per hole. A feature available from Menu > Preferences > Seed Display.
Counted seed display, makes it easy for users with small screen size devices to enjoy the game.
Menu selection "Help" and "Rules" provides more detailed information assisting the user to learn fast and enjoy the game.
This unique game has provided strategic thinking skill, fun, enjoyment and social interactions, in East and Central Africa for hundreds of years, as physical wooden boards with holes curved in wooden boards. Bao boards are also curved directly on the ground or on table tops.
Bao boards, seeds or pebbles and some elaborate rules are used in Bao game contests that are enjoyable to players and spectators. Bao game champions are highly esteemed.
