My experience with commbank and the app have been appealing. They lock you out, make you attend branches, still leave your accounts blocked and make you waste hours and hours of your time

The CBA app is steadily becoming more complex, multi-layered and difficult to navigate. In trying to be all things to all people, the app contains almost the entire banking functions of the CBA and more, including ‘special offers’, discount shopping and gung-ho self-promotion. It’s ok for general banking but beware using it for any other purposes. The app exemplifies the ‘all care, no responsibility’ business model so if you make an error online, the onus will be on you - not the bank. This could prove very costly indeed! Am awarding 10/10 for the ‘no responsibility’ focus and about 2/10 for the ‘all care’ part.

When is CBA going to fix Face ID for iPad? Also, the screen is not optimised for iPad. Out of all banking apps I have used, this one is the worst.

Why in 2025 no iPad landscape view ? When is it coming ? ComSec , Bankwest and other banks have it ! It’s annoying in portrait view so I don’t use it ! Can you reply to my review ! I HAVE ASKED ABOUT THIS FOR OVER 3 YEARS ! AND NO RESPONSE

The new requirement to approve EVERY SINGLE login to your PC on the Commbank app is ridiculous. You can’t even say Remember this device for 30 Days… And provides no additional security as this can be bypassed by removing your phone as a trusted device on this CBA app on your phone…

The app is mostly good, makes online banking relatively easy. However, we don’t have the ability to log into the app using a different NetBank account. This was previously available a few years ago, please bring back this feature which is needed to log into different user accounts on shared devices! We can no longer just use net banking via the web now that CommBank has forced verification via the app. Give us the flexibility to switch between different user/client accounts. Currently impossible to do, you have to delete and reinstall the app or have access to a spare mobile/device.
