Discover the beauty and depth of Arabic maqams through an all-in-one educational app designed for musicians, students, and lovers of oriental music. The maqam system—the modal framework of Arabic, Turkish, and other Middle Eastern music—is the heart of this powerful learning platform. Each maqam is explained with clarity, accuracy, and musical depth, supported by audio examples, visual tools, and contextual insights to help you truly understand its structure and emotional character. Whether you’re a professional musician, a music student, a teacher, or simply someone fascinated by Arabic or oriental music, this app offers immediate access to a well-organized collection of maqams and their ajnas (building blocks). What’s inside each maqam: • Full breakdown of notes, intervals (in cents), and characteristic degrees • Authentic audio recordings for real-world listening • Famous songs that use the maqam • Interactive virtual keyboard for practice and experimentation • Information on transpositions, modulation, and melodic behavior New in this version: • Over 100 traditional oriental rhythms (iqa‘at) added with clear notation and real audio examples • Interactive quizzes to test your knowledge of maqams, notes, and melodies • Performance level tracking to monitor your progress by scale • A built-in practice calendar with streak tracking to motivate regular training • Completely redesigned user interface with a smooth, modern experience and elegant dark theme • Full multilingual support: available in English, French, and Arabic This app isn’t just a reference tool—it’s a complete educational platform. Designed by expert musicians and educators, it guides you through the theoretical and practical elements of oriental music, combining ear training, analysis, and performance in one seamless experience. You can explore both foundational maqams (like Rast, Bayat, Hijaz, Saba, Nahawand, Ajam…) and rare or complex ones (like Bastanikar, Suznak, Husseini, and more). Whether you’re learning to recognize them by ear or using them in composition or improvisation, this app is your ideal companion. Why choose this app? • It condenses years of study into a portable, interactive, and clear format • Created and curated by experienced oriental musicians • Designed for both beginners and advanced learners • Focuses on active listening, practical playing, and cultural context Dive into the expressive world of maqams, where each scale carries centuries of musical tradition and emotion. Whether for performance, composition, or curiosity—this app is your key to mastering the sound of the East. Download now and start your musical journey through the rich landscapes of maqam music.}

Id like to get a refund, please! I was under the impression that the app would be in English. I’m unfortunately unable to read Arabic (even though I’d love to, one day). The overall functionality and understanding are not a problem, but I’d like to genuinely learn about the scales, tonality, etc. But that part is in Arabic. Sorry

Some things don’t work well like going up and down the maqam - which should really work given the purpose of the app. Please add a feature to read things in English for non Arabic speakers, and a tempo setting in the rhythm section. Also, information about the structure of the maqam like which notes are important for the feeling of the maqam
