Spelling Queen Pangrams
Subtitle (

)
The 7-letter word puzzle game
Description (
Characters: 1326 of 4000
)
App version of the popular game, with many added features like the option to play together with friends & family on your Wi-Fi! Each 7-letter game is generated on the fly by algorithm. There are over 4000 unique 7 letter games to play! Work your way up from Novice, to Brilliant, to Mastermind, and on to win! There are only two rules to finding words and winning the game: words must be at least 4 letters long, and words must always use the center letter. Some games have only 10 words to find, to win the spelling game... other ones have over 50 words! Use Help to get a word count that will tell you how big the challenge is, see how many you've found, and get hints. There's now also a Game of the Day which is the same for everyone, everywhere. Each game has at least one pangram - a word that uses all 7 of the game's individual letters. Some games have more than one! The game's word list is a partial English dictionary of the most frequently used words that have 7 or fewer unique letters. In your game, you can customize your own personal word list! Here's how it works: if you enter a word that *is* in the English dictionary but *is not* in the game's list, you can add that new word to your own list. That new word will be included in future games, no matter which of your iCloud devices you are playing on!}

it would be one thing if the ads were between games, but they pop up and interrupt the game you’re playing every 3 to 4 mins. And 3.99 plus tax is ridiculous to get rid of ads. Stick to the NYT games app

Very good substitute for the New York Times spelling bee for those of us who can’t get enough of it. Only cons are occasional words I guess but aren’t in its dictionary, guessed words that it thinks at the end you didn’t guess, and app support being less easy to find than most apps make it.

Although the game itself is fun, the ads are ridiculous as is the $3.99 charge for ad free. Not sure I will continue to play unless cost comes down

Not sure where the game pulls its word bank from, but if it’s going to accept a word like “gonna” or “gotta”, and sometimes even foreign words, or words that have no definition at all (I’ve guessed at clues and gotten them “right”, but there’s no definition given within the game or in a dictionary), it should be able to accept actual and common words found in the dictionary. It’s also selective about plurals. It accepts some, but not all. And I’ve been playing this long enough to also notice that it may accept a word one day but reject the exact same word the next day. Overall a fun, clean, and simple yet addicting game, but accuracy, consistency, and attention to thorough detail are very much lacking. The audience for a word game such as this are expecting these attributes. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that some of us would be willing to contribute missing words and definitions if they wanted to open source it. Just a thought.

After an ad played, I could not close the ad to resume playing. I force-quit the app, then restarted it to continue playing. I lost all the words I found, and was given a new set of letters. It’s impossible to enjoy this app if that’s how ads behave. I deleted the app.

Words not recognized include acerbic, acquarelle or aquarelle, and flaccid. Words recognized include gonna, lulu and nada. Need I say more? Also doesn’t recognize “-our” or “-re” spellings. There’s something annoying about metric units having only US spellings when the US doesn’t even use metric.

Game frequently locks up when an ad starts and then loses my progress. When you find all the possible words it does not complete the game, if you close and reopen sometimes it will complete and other times it loses the last words entered.

The app had been working fine, but now crashes when trying to start a short game
