I’m a huge fan of the premise of this app and the content. It’s been helping my 3.5-year-old fall asleep and calm his body for over a year now. I will keep subscribing because there’s nothing else comparable but I constantly find myself wishing it were better! The standard narrator’s voice is just okay, seems like they used a random mom instead of a professional. Better her than me doing the talking, so fine. All the stories end with a period of relaxing music, which is great if your kid can fall asleep in under 20min - but mine does not! So after the story is over and the music starts he’s yelling for another one, which disrupts the whole bedtime process. I can’t just add other stories to the autoplay cue because of the dang music. Please make the music at the end optional! I will say, they’ve been adding longer and longer bedtime stories lately, which is helpful. My other issue is the AI generated stories. I made one and now we’re stuck listening to it all the time, since my son loves it, but the AI voice is TERRIBLE and creepy. It doesn’t have a normal speaking cadence at all. Why?! I know the technology is capable of sounding like a normal person talking. TLDR: if you have a 1+ year old get this app! BUT don’t expect magic.

My 4.5 yo has been a notoriously difficult sleeper, takes forever to wind down, we’ve tried everything but bedtime is usually 1-2 hours. Since we started using this app for bedtime stories, she’s out before the second story is done! She’ll even ask just for the ocean music sometimes, it’s very soothing for her, pure magic. The back to school series has been great for the morning drives to school as well!

I can’t say enough great things about this app. I have 3 kids, twin 5 year olds and a 7 year old, and all will ask for a “sleep story” at night, particularly when having trouble falling asleep. Long nights of check ins have been replaced with blissful sleep stories, leaving my phone in the room with a developmentally appropriate relaxing story incorporating beautiful lulling music. I’m also an occupational therapist who teaches mindfulness, and have loved that this really is helping to teach this from a young age, with stories often incorporating elements of paying attention to the senses. So grateful for this app, love that stories are being constantly added. I tell all my parent friends about this and will continue to do so!

We have come and gone from this app a few times since it came out but the amount of stories on it now make it more than worth the subscription! My almost 2 year old is obsessed with the digger story and we’ve listened to it every night for the last week. All the stories get him to sleep and are pleasant for listening as a parent too.

I’m updating my review because The Airplane Ride story has come in clutch twice. It’s about 16 minutes long, and my daughter’s asleep by the end. I think I need 15 minute stories as a minimum. I also don’t have any complaints about the s and z sounds in this story! I think an option to see similar stories could be cool. I’m so glad I forgot to cancel my free trial and that my daughter asked for the “airplane story.”

I’d love for this to work for my 22 mo, but it hasn’t yet. I haven’t found a story that’s captivating enough from the start to hold her attention long enough to put her to sleep. I would prefer a story that was at least 10 minutes. The Barnyard Adventure story wasn’t long enough to put her to sleep and the music after the story didn’t work either. It would be nice to have some different speakers. This lady’s voice whistles so much on s and z sounds and I can’t unhear or stand it. I love this concept and feel like it could be a great fit for us with some tweaks. I also wonder if having an option to change the speed of the playback would help

Absolutely love this app. Has made bed time 10x easier and helps me get into a relaxed mood versus feeling like I’m fighting to get my child to sleep. Can’t recommend enough!

Update: we’ve new using Goldminds since it was first released and still love it. Not only does it help my little to sleep, it’s relaxing for me too! Original review: My 3yo has always nursed to sleep so I wasn’t sure how things would go, but when he asked for milk last night and said “let’s just listen to a story first”and he was out within 4 minutes. Amazing! I’m also loving the daytime content to at speaks to where kids are at (cars, trucks, farm animals, unicorns) while weaving in incredibly valuable mindfulness tools. Thank you Goldminds!

I have followed Rachael, @heysleepybaby, since my daughter was four months old, and she is now almost 4 years old. I basically love everything Rachael puts out, and find her to be a true gem! I was excited to try the Goldminds app, and I’m so glad I did! I would often tell my own stories to my daughter or have her listen to music and sometimes it would take 30 to 45 minutes for her to fall asleep. I know that’s not crazy long, but there were nights were it definitely was. Since starting to use the app, we are down to between seven and 20 minutes. Not that I don’t love the extra snuggles, but more time in the evening for myself and not being in the room so late has really improved my own nighttime. I also love the tone and voice in the stories, as well as the calming daytime stories. Overall I just find the quality of the stories in the Goldmines app to be truly amazing! I’m grateful to have another resource to use when putting my daughter to bed. If you haven’t tried the Goldminds app, I definitely recommend it!
