Get fit with friends!
Description (

Getting fit should be fun! The best way to stay motivated is to work on this together with friends. Together, it is much easier to keep it up. With FitFriends, you and your friends participate in a challenge. A challenge consists of 1, 2 or 3 simple exercises. You decide when you do them. Do you spread them out over the day? No matter, so long as you have done them all by the end of the day! It stays fun because you motivate each other in the friends chat. And you get help from a virtual FitFriends coach! *** Why it works. *** With FitFriends, you train according to the “Greasing the Groove (GtG)” principle of Pavel Tsatsouline. We usually exercise in a way where you repeat exercises until you can't do any more (“muscle failure”). GtG proposes that this is not necessary at all and can even be counterproductive. With GtG, you repeat the same exercises, but spread out over the day. The number of consecutive repetitions is small. So not 30 push-ups once per day, but 10 push-ups three times per day. It's based on stimulation of neurological connections between your brain and your muscles. Neurologists know that if you stimulate these connections, you gain more strength in your muscles. By doing a limited number of repetitions, these connections are, as it were, lubricated (greasing the groove). This helps you get fitter, stronger and able to lose weight easier. Without too much strain! *** How do I get started? *** 1. A challenge consists of a number of exercises that you do every day or every other day. Select a challenge of your choice. 2. Sign in with Apple or e-mail. 3. Challenge your friends and get started!}
