Detect and analyze music tempo

Tempi is the fastest and most accurate real-time beat detection app available. It measures you and your entire band’s tempo live, while you play, and lets you analyze the performance when you’re done. It's like a reverse metronome. * Tempi listens while you (or your entire band) play. * Tempi reports the BPM (beats per minute) of your performance in real time with remarkable accuracy. * When you’re done, Tempi lets you analyze the recording so that problem areas can be pinpointed and improved. * Use Tap for Tempo to quickly get a BPM reading at any time. * Switch themes for easy nighttime use or just to suit your style. * Recording sessions can be saved for later analysis. * Export the audio recording of your performance to keep or share with others. HOW TO USE In a band setting, place the iPhone or iPad in a position where the entire band can see it so everyone will know when the band is speeding up or slowing down. When you’re done playing the song, press the stop button to analyze the performance. You can scroll through the entire song, isolate where the tempo sped up or slowed down, and play back the song to get an idea of what went wrong. Tempi is great for individual practice too. Use it instead of a metronome while practicing to pinpoint problem areas in a piece of music that you’re learning. If you can play through an entire song with the tempo only changing by 1 or 2 BPMs, you’ve arrived :-) Tempi works best when there’s a distinct “pulse” to the song, like a kick drum/snare or a repeating chord, and assumes the player is trying to play at a consistent tempo. With less structured music it still does quite well but may occasionally report incorrect tempos. If your song is very fast or very slow, tap the button at the top right to toggle between 1/2x, 1x, and 2x tempos.}

This app measures time inaccurately & freezes up after a minute of measuring bpm. Developers also refuse refunds on this ultra expensive utility app. I am a professional Jazz Drummer, DO NOT RECOMMEND I am using a free app called autobpm now

So good…. Seems pretty accurate to me and a helpful tool… Of course I wish it was ALSO an AUv3 with the ability to send MIDI rate to other apps for improvising live music. … This would be so cool to have it listen to a live drummer and all my AUM related apps follow along… still very cool helpful tool

It loses track of bpm and you have to reset. Not good for a gigging drummer

The app is good. A couple things would make it excellent. Make it possible to see longer time frames on the graph and make it so the algorithm is more responsive to large tempo changes. If I’m playing at say 80 bpm then change to 120 the app will keep saying I’m playing 80 for minutes. I have to reset the app to get it to recognize the tempo changes. Small tempo changes (ie 80 to 82) work well though. Also, turn off the recording feature by default or make it more obvious that the record feature is optional.

Either this app is useless or I’m doing something wrong. When checking a recording the tempo goes from 83 to 135 while at most a few bpm go up or down

I test professional artists recordings to match their tempos. I can’t get Tempi to measure/work simultaneously with my player apps (Bandcamp, Amazing Slow Downer, Apple Music, Recorder) when both are on the same device. Either the player stops as soon as I touch “record” button on Tempi, or Tempi stops when I turn on the player app. This won’t work for me.

Purposely deceiving, hard to get trough the “upgrade” that wants you to pay more for no ads after already paying for the app, which is by the way terrible. I’ve denounced this app and should not download.

Habe die Erkennung auf der Grundlage bekannter Tanzmusiktitel, bei denen der Beat vorgegeben ist überprüft. Außer beim Tango waren alle anderen Titel nicht korrekt erkannt. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Was soll ich sagen. Es misst mein Metronom falsch. Durchgefallen
