The Official FODMAP App
Description (

)
Researchers at Monash University have developed the low FODMAP diet and a corresponding app to assist in the management of gastrointestinal symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The Monash University FODMAP diet works by swapping foods high in fermentable carbohydrates (FODMAPs), with low FODMAP alternatives. Around 75% of people with IBS experience symptom relief on a low FODMAP diet. The app comes directly from the research team at Monash and includes the following: - General information about the FODMAP diet and IBS. - Easy to understand tutorials to guide you through the app and the 3-Step FODMAP diet. - A Food Guide detailing the FODMAP content for hundreds of foods using a simple 'traffic light system'. - A list of branded products that have been certified by Monash as low FODMAP. - A collection of over 70 nutritious, low FODMAP recipes. - Functions that allow you to create your own shopping list and add notes to individual foods - A Diary that enables you to record food eaten, IBS symptoms, bowel habits and stress levels. The Diary will also guide you through step 2 of the diet - FODMAP reintroduction. - The ability to adjust units of measurement (metric or imperial) and activate colour blindness assistance.}

Just bought this app and right off the top, the first two categories of foods are “Low FODMAP Certified Foods” and “Low FODMAP Certified Meals” which are nothing more than a list of PROCESSED GARBAGE.” very disappointed. Total waste of money.

Because it is paid app I expect more items in the database also more recipes so no real value for 9€…

It’s hard to find the right foods, the food names are different. The recommended products aren’t even things you see here in the US. I’m sure it’s a great app if you live somewhere else.

Some of the recipes in the app contain fodmap foods and quantities that are classified by the app itself as red

Leider sind viele Produkte so in Deutschland nicht erhältlich. Die Marken sind hier nicht zu kaufen und nach 30 verschiedenen Toastbroten habe ich einen kleinen Kulturschock erlitten.

The information is essential and the best out there. UI of the app isn’t really well designed

No trial period so I had to purchase the app just to take a look at it and now I can’t have my money back because I didn’t like it First of all, it’s unusable for me as I have some intolerances, including to eggs, and I can’t add this info anywhere so I could filter the recipes and avoid the ones that doesn’t suit me The whole filtering system is confusing: even tho I choose Germany in the list, it doesn’t show me the certified products in this country on the top of the list, I still have to scroll to manually find them, so what’s the point of the filter? BTW the button “send feedback” in the app simply doesn’t work I’d be glad to get my money back for the app I won’t be using

Needs to have a wider range list of food Build in some logging to know what foods people are using then classify a much much wider list
