I swam with Masters 20 plus years ago, then started running once kids/work demanded more time. After back issues emerged about 30 months ago, I put away my running shoes and dove back into the pool. Searching for workouts, I found Myswimpro. What a game changer: hundreds of workouts; dozens of long-term training programs - building endurance, IM, stroke-specifics, open water; workout intervals and distances customized for me, synched with my Garmin; and post-workout AI (I assume) analysis. And that's not all - videos on form, drill, even fitness and speed strategy are very helpful. Though I am not swimming with a coach now, I am swimming with a design - a workout progression focussed on helping me achieve goals. Workouts for Speed, Endurance, Form and recovery. My distance has increased five-fold since starting and my times are down. I look forward to the next workout almost as soon as log the last one. I always encourage swimmers to work with coaches. Form is everything and there is always something we can do better. But this app is an ideal tool between those coaching sessions.

Originally used this app whilst progressing in the swimming lanes, primarily just to track my workouts as I did. Was looking to do the workouts and other features once I got more into swimming. Now I need to pay £19 a month just to do the basic that other apps do for free. Uninstalling and moving to another app

I’ve been using MySwimPro for over 1.5 years. It’s helped me go from barely swimming a lap to being able to swim a stricter workout 3-4 times per week. I like that I can specify nuances about my training (e.g. I swim with a team once a week) and their AI assistant will adopt my plan. My only complaint is that the app can be a slow to start, especially with some of the recent updates. That said, the outcomes have been so good that I plan to continue to use it for a while!

this app works very well and has for me for well over 5 years now. I have an Apple watch and it tracks my workouts. I’m a Masters swimmer and don’t need some of the workout content or coaching features, but I love having good data about what I did do, and the relevant stats about things like heart rate, stroke counts, etc. It’s not required, but I do enjoy looking back at past years as motivation to swim more the next one. About a year ago they removed some basic features from the free version, like being able to see your heart rate or what specific set got tracked correctly and I’ll admit that was frustrating. I’m willing to pay, but the price feels very high, especially for the features I do and don’t use. I’d really appreciate a “limited” version that costs less and provides basic tracking features without the premium content.

I have been using the MySwimPro app for over two years. I love this app and I rely on it for the workouts that are guided from my phone to my Apple Watch, along with all of the stats after every swim. (All of my splits, strokes per lap, and SWOLF scores). I’ve been a competitive swimmer for many years. I have used this with friends swimming together by texting them the workout in pdf form. They then know what the sets/intervals are and my watch sets the pace/intervals. It tells me where I am in the set and then what the next set is. I also use it by myself. I recommend this for beginners as well. There is a lot of extra swimming drills to help with stroke and even dry land workouts. Fares is an amazing coach and can break down stroke advice from beginner to expert. I highly recommend this app for great workouts and the assistance to improve!

I loved this app. Have been using paid subscription since 23. I’m a former runner who hips have had to much. At age 65 I’m am still trying to keep my fitness. Swimming instructor for many years and I still like to have my strokes analyzed to not develop new bad habits. I don’t have time or enough endurance to do training sets just want to monitor my workouts. I switch from my backyard pool to the Olympic city pool, but trying to keep cardio with weights because of developing osteoporosis quite young to a familiar family issue. I click on the link and it says something is wrong, but can’t get past that also noticed app on phone is a different color. I have read that you delete and download again, but I am worried of losing 2 plus years of information. Not sure if new Apple iOS caused this or not, but I feel like it’s useless to me I set on pool side googles and all yesterday trying to fix it. Taking lanes away from other swimmers and it’s not summer. Help please?

I've used this app in the past and was ameqts underwhelmed. Recently I started swimming laps again and it created a 10 week workout that has hugely increased my cardio and helped me see progress! The ai workout generator also does a fun job of taking your prompts and making fun workouts. It's been a lot of fun. I use an apple watch ultra and the workouts on the watch also help me eliminate when I make my own workout and skip or take extra rest, it really motivates me to meet the standards of the workout as it's presented! As a former DI athlete it feels good to be challenged and try to meet goals like this.

It’s a solid app for swim workouts overall, but it’s frustrating that all sessions are based on time rather than on the actual distance you cover. It would be much more helpful if the timer stopped when you finished a length, instead of sticking to the preset duration. As it works now, if I swim more slowly than expected, the app moves on to the next segment even though I haven’t completed the current one. Another issue is that if you stop midway through a 50 m length, the distance you’ve already swum isn’t counted at all. It would be great to see these improvements in future updates. 🙏🏻

I generally love MySwimPro App which I have been using for at least 6 years. However, over the last two years I have been experiencing missing laps when swimming in the pool. Originally it was one lap occasionally but it has now in increased to an average of 5 laps during every 100 lap session. I therefore, have to swim 106 laps to record a total of 101 laps, just over 2km. I reported the problem when it first began but it remains unresolved. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software on my Apple Watch which didn’t fix it. ChatGBT confirmed that this is a common problem.
