Phlow: Camera & Photo Editor

Finally! A natural looking/normal “camera” IN my phone!!!! Thank YOU Phlow! Best camera/editing app everrrr!!!!!

I loved this app & only use it to keep my photos edited the same now. the new update has been awful to use, so touchy, crashes all the time and none of the tools really make sense while using.

• UPDATE: 11-13-2025 • Responding to developers response: I wrote this review pre-V.2.0.5 so of course there wasn’t 60 & 120fps. It’s not hating. It’s constructive criticism at best. I based my reviews on facts not feelings. I’m not asking for you to create a BlackMagic Camera clone, I’m simply stating the advertisement of LUTS and Pro features. You never addressed the LUTS, OpenGate or LOG recording. Obviously if I spoke about these things it means I have shot both photos and videos on the app to know the feature doesn’t exist. How would I know to point out about the global exposure slider tool not working like how it should in Adobe Lightroom if I didn’t shoot a photo in the app and edit it to know it doesn’t work correctly? Apply a filter on a video that isn’t in LOG format isn’t the same as shooting in LOG and apply a LUT. You can only push the iPhones video and photo capabilities only so much until it falls apart. It’s like trying to edit a JPEG versus a Raw photo. You make it seem like I’m deliberately attacking your product when reality there’s videos out there where you guys stated on a IG reel saying “it shoots in raw, you don’t need to know what that means”. Shooting in raw and importing it into Adobe Lightroom and applying a preset is way different than shooting in raw and importing into VSCO and applying a filter. You know that. Same goes with videos, shooting in LOG and apply a LUT is completely different from doing so and importing it into an app that overlays a filter. You’ll get different outcomes and your footage and photos will look different. There’s different outputs and color inputs and color fringing etc etc. • Original review: 11-3- 2025 • This app markets itself as an all in one, due it all, “Pro” video and photo camera app. But it leaves a lot to be desired when you use it, especially coming from Pro apps like Lightroom, BlackMagic Camera, etc. There are ALOT of missing “Pro” features. First, video recording is in 1080p and 4K, capped at 30 fps. It’s 2025, our iPhones can now shoot up to 120 fps in OpenGate. No LOG recording option. Marketing photos on the App Store claims “LUTs”, where? I don’t see any option to even shoot in LOG, let alone be able to pick LUTs, there’s none build in. It’s the same photo filters. You can’t import or export any of those “filters” as LUTs. When editing the photos, the editing tools are no accurate at all. The exposure slider does not expose highlights and shadows correctly. Apps like Lightroom and VSCO exposure sliders are way better! This app is market towards Instagramer Influencers who don’t know too much about photography and cinematography and don’t know how to edit like a “Pro”. They do a lot of marketing on Instagram for this app, so I thought I give it a try. There are definitely way better and cheaper options out there for what they want you to pay monthly. You can get an Adobe Photography subscription with Lightroom and Photoshop for $10 a month!! And use apps like Kino, BlackMagic Camera or Moment Camera and VSCO and get more realistic “Pro” results!! I wouldn’t recommend nor waste my money on this app. It’s an influencer marketing gimmick!!

Nice filters, functions, love editing my professional and personal pics on Phlow

I loved this app for so long and got many of my friends and family on to it as well but since the new update the photos are absolutely horrible. Not only are the colors all washed out and messed up but all images taken on the app are blurry and bad quality. Just went to the pumpkin patch and took all of our yearly photos with Phlow just to see after that they are all blurry and ruined. I’m so disappointed.

I used to LOVE this app, but since the latest update, the photos just don’t look pretty! So sad! Wish I could to back to Phlow 1.0 🥺

Honestly the best photo editor app- I love how easy it is to use, especially with the new version saving photos and your edits straight to your camera. All of the presets are perfect and the UI is beautiful too!
