Equal Access to Quality Care

With QDoc, seeing a healthcare professional has never been easier! HOW DOES QDOC WORK? The team at QDoc has developed a software that allows patients to be connected to healthcare professionals for virtual video appointments. This service is free for Canadian residents with a valid provincial Health Card, excluding Quebec. The process is as simple as signing up for an account, creating your profile, and filling out a form. From there, our healthcare providers will be notified that you are ready to be seen! The provider that responds to your request is able to view your chart and is then connected directly to you for a audio+video call. DO I NEED TO BE IN MANITOBA? At this time QDoc is only available to those located in Manitoba, North Western Ontario or Nunavut at the time of their visit. The College of Physicians and the Manitoba government do not allow Manitoba doctors to see patients that are physically located outside of those areas. We are actively working to expand into other provinces, so please check back with us again. WHO ARE YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS? Our providers are a team of highly skilled physicians and nurse practitioners who come from various medical backgrounds. They are all licensed and registered to practice medicine in Manitoba and have participated in training to be able to deliver quality care through the virtual QDoc platform. CAN I GET A PRESCRIPTION? Once you have been seen by a QDoc provider they are able to prescribe any non-controlled medications that are suitable for your treatment within proper practice guidelines. HOW CAN QDOC HELP? QDoc can help with non-emergency episodic medical care. Our healthcare providers can prescribe medications, refer you to a specialist, provide a sick note, and order lab tests. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? QDoc is a free service available to Canadian residents (excluding Quebec residents) that are physically located in Manitoba, Nunavut or NW Ontario and hold a valid provincial health card. It is also free to students at the Red River College who are covered by MSH private insurance. IS MY INFORMATION SECURE? QDoc is PHIA/HIPAA secure and follows all necessary security protocols. We take the security of your healthcare information very seriously.}

Always have a great encounter with Q docs sure sometimes the app may not be working correctly due to a bug or to the server itself being down , but every time I needed to see the doctor that I needed to see I've seen him. He's made my life a lot better than it has been. To be seen at 9 o'clock on a Friday night because I was not able to make it to my previous appointment due to the app having a bug in it like most apps do sometimes, but still being able to see the doctor that I needed to see on the day that I was supposed to see him just a couple hours later did not affect my opinion on this app. I think this app is great and I think everybody should use it because it would make life a lot easier, especially for people like me who have a lot and being able to feel like my doctor and not feel like I'm gonna be rushed out of there because they have three other appointments booked at the exact same time as the one it's not feel like he's rushing through it because he doesn't actually care because my doctor really does care he's has compassion and understanding and he is genuinely concerned about my health and my mental health where my primary physician caretaker whatever you wanna call it my regular doctor just rushes through his appointments. I don't feel like I've seen by my regular doctor with my Q doctor. I feel like I'm a person and like I matter. What counts when it comes to seeing a doctor is feeling like you have been heard and like you are seen and like they understand and that they actually want to help you get better. Thank you everybody needs to try Q docs seriously it could save your life like it did mine. have a nice day, everybody.

Saw a NP within 30 minutes of downloading the app 🤯🤯🤯. Just needed a prescription for an infection. Sure beats waiting 24 hours in the ER or waiting in line in the cold at 8am to hope to get into the walk in.

It was great to be seen so quickly, but for some reason the video call had no audio on the NPs side of the call. Otherwise, a very impressive service.

Honestly didn’t expect to be seen so quick I used it on a Tuesday around 10 am and it only took ten minutes to be seen and the doctor was really helpful and explained everything and would recommend this app to anyone so any other review saying they waited hours I don’t know what to tell you besides maybe use it when not so many people would need to see the doctor/np and use it on a workday in the morning like I did and only wait minutes maybe my situation was lucky but I was googling wait times and by the time I finally found the information the doctor was already reviewing my chart such a great and convenient app

I created a profile at approximately 3pm Friday afternoon. There were many people waiting so I got an occasional text asking if I still wanted to wait. I waited and actually forgot lol, lucky I was awake still. I received a text at approximately 11pm (8 hours later) that there was a doctor available and so I accepted the meeting. I had a video chat one on one. Very nice Doctor, very helpful. She was thorough, gave great advice and I was able to get my prescriptions & x-ray requisition faxed to my pharmacy. I definitely recommend to do when it’s -37 with the windchill, like today, or if it’s not too serious, or just more convenient. I’m just dealing with a cough due to cold but if I develop a fever or feel worse I will go in to see my doctor or walk in because pneumonia is going around. I’m 50 now, so this is going to be a thing. Thank you.
