Though admittedly the measurements were undervalued. in the period nov 20-25 the actual measurement in my gauge was 4.21” the app measured slightly over 3”. Still, it’s a very helpful general indicator of precipitation.

I had high hopes for this app. Paid for 1 year 29.99 and cancelled it within 12hours. It reported 1.19” and we got 2 3/8”. Way off. I guess they’ll keep my subscription, I should have taken the 3 day free trial. Lesson learned for $30

Extremely nice way to monitor the weather over a large distance! Knowing the amount of rain in each location can tell you a lot more about the conditions for driving a long trip!

I downloaded this app and checked it against the mechanical rain gauge in my yard. I work at a golf course and thought it would be nice to know what the rainfall amounts were in the different parts of the course before I got to work. Unfortunately, the app was not accurate at all. When we received 3” of rain, the app showed .70” of rainfall. The app uses Doppler radar estimates for there information, not actual rainfall numbers.

They apparently calculate location averages with little regard for the accuracy of the contributing gages.

Upon my 1st opening of the App, I had to review it or I couldn’t proceed to use the App for the first time! What else could I rate it but a “one star”, since “zero star” doesn’t seem to be an option. That’s not a bug; that’s a non-starter, a brazen unethical way to get ratings—or a someone in marketing or management over-riding good coders. I don’t trust you, developer of this App. I was very impressed with the feature write-up on the App store. It looks like a thoughtful design. I especially hope the view of rain over the month applies to past months for rain history. I even would be willing to pay a premium for the paid features, as those features look desirable. I will try the App and submit a review, after using it for several rain falls, which in Phoenix could be several months. But then again, I’ll see if developer is willing to fix this ‘prior-to-first use’, rude and illogical requirement, to rate upon opening and with no experience in the App. I just looked at the App Store, and there is an upgrade. I dearly hope it contains a fix for this problem. I did download this ‘Rain Drop’ App, some time ago, along with another App that I have been using with success, hence App I opened is pre-upgrade of free App. I have my fingers crossed for users sake, and for the developer’s sake. I have many years experience in graphic designer and do consultation on App design and interface, so I root for developers to have well designed Apps; and I appreciate good design and function of Apps. I hope this issue is already addressed. If not, I would enjoy a response from the developer.

I am so happy that I downloaded this app and I am a paid user. I downloaded because I have one of those robot lawnmower. I don’t want it to go out after the rain so I keep an eye on the rain in the past with this app. Now with the new forecast feature I can plan when to send the lawnmower out and for how long. Lawnmower has it’s own rain sensor but once the rain stops it starts back up. I don’t want it to go back so I don’t program it to mow it it rained.

This app literally stopped working in my area. Hasn’t update rainfall totals in 15 days.

Never gets the amount right. Have had It show .10” and I actually received no rain. Most recent showed .33” actual was .55”. With large rainfalls, I’ve seen it be up to a half inch off. Similar to temperature apps the amount they show is a guess. It is useful for the big picture. Did I get rain or not if you’re away from your locations.
