Nothing too exciting. You go around talking to people and get clues. It was fun nonetheless. Maybe a bit too straightforward, but there were a few tricky parts that got me stuck for awhile.

I really enjoyed this. It is like a cross between a pulp detective novel, a choose your own adventure book, and a point and click adventure game. It is clear a lot of work went int this Indie game. The storyline was engaging and the clues and conclusion all hung together. It is set in the early 20s in San Francisco. It is well researched and has a LOT of historical easter eggs woven in. I encourage new players to savor it— take time to explore the settings and talk to cab drivers. I hope the developer follows up with a sequel.

I think some of my... disinterest in this game comes from my apparent lack of fondness for noir narratives. But it was a tight, focused game with elegant visuals, not too short, not too long. I had this problem with playing on pretty small iPhone - there were options to choose dialogue, which were really small and close to each other and I sometimes had ended up hitting not the one I wanted. The story is... alright. Noir mystery with lady detecitve in San Francisco during 20' - lots of social issues (not like now it's not a problem), bootleging and gangs. It was nicely tied up at the end with it's themes. But the gameplay was sometimes a slog to go through - if you got stuck, you just have to check everything on everyone, and it's a LOT of everything and everyone.

I hope there is a sequel or the developers continue to make more games like this! It was fun to play, engaging and really well done. I love the character expressions and the historical content rolled into the game so effortlessly

In this era of super graphics and hyper realism, a game made using rotoscope (just like the Last Express), and simple animations gets to beat a lot of AAA games with spectacular FXs but shallow narratives. I loved this detective game, and I loved it's characters. Malone and Frankie, what a couple; a tragic version of Holmes and Watson. This game reminded my youth, during that golden era of detective and point and click games, like Fate of Atlantis or the Last Express (yes, I'm that old) Thanks for this game, guys. It is a beautiful effort. I stopped playing my first run of Red Dead Redemption 2 story mode, just because I got captivated by A Case of Distrust and its great story. Thanks for this beautiful proof that games should be more about a good story and captivating mood than just top notch graphics and mechanics. I'll be eager to hear about more games from you, hopefully with PC Malone as the protagonist of a new Noir story.

Thanks for making this. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Had to look up a walkthrough once but it was because I missed clicking on something in the billiards room.

I was founding a game to play a little while ago, found this game, watch the trailer, liked it, I decided to download it. First of all, I want to talk about the soundtrack, the music is really smooth, it’s jazz from the 1200s, I like it. The art style of the game is basic, only represent people with silhouette, nothing really good here but it left me a little satisfied. The gameplay is just finding clues, contradict people’s statements, trying to find the murder, it’s nice but being honest only a handful of people like detective games like this. Although, when I was playing the game, whenever you travel to other places, there is a chance that the screen where you wick which places you want to go will be dark, yes, totally dark which I had to hold my finger trying to search for the place’s name I want to go. If the bug doesn’t exist in this game, I would have give it 5 stars, but I think a 4 stars is perfect as a rating for this game If you like detective games that involves real detective work, and if you are patient and your skills of conclusions is great (basically being smart) then you will like this game. Otherwise you have the choice of don’t need to download it.

So I found and highlighted all the items, saw them listed in the notebook. Now what? I don’t consider myself anywhere near ignorant, but I can’t figure out how to play this game. There are no instructions that I can find. Should I just give up and delete?
