Was gifted a subscription to this app and it’s honestly been more hassle than it’s worth just ATTEMPTING to use it! Most discounts are 3 or 4%. The food discounts like 50% at takeaways have so many terms and conditions, it’s actually cheaper to not use it. You can’t use the tastecard in conjunction with the business’s own deals - you can’t use the discount on xyz days, times, areas. There’s high minimum spends. And the whole buying a gift card to use the discount doesn’t work at all. Every time I tried to buy the gift card it asked me to input my details again. I think it’s a great idea for an app but it is genuinely unusable.

It works well on some things but for the odeon cinema you end up paying full price anyway because when you book online the ticket price just reduces by the voucher and you pay the difference, no point in it

Pizza Express and Zizzi’s never show up in the app’s search, so we can never actually claim the discounts we’re paying an annual fee for (well, not at the next renewal date now as it’s a waste of money).

Got quite annoyed with this app not letting me log in and seeing the other reviews that others could not login either. You need to try and login on the website first, which doesn’t work either, and then go back to the app and it will let you log right in. Why support could just not tell us this is beyond me. This is why the app gets 2 stars as it is useful when logged in!

A lot of the 50% off pizza deals are fake. They have the same offers on their site and it’s not actually 50% off as advertised. It is for let’s say the pizza with a minimum spend e.g I I wanted a large pepperoni that’s 25 quid. I then have to add 5 to get the deal. So let’s say add some wings (8 quid) that’s 33 then the pizza 12.50 so it means still paying around 20 quid. I saw this deal and was excited but then as normal, Dominoes engineers it to extract as much as possible from you, really disappointed in Taste Card team not journey checking this click bait and amending the copy to be factual or kicking it from their platform. It’s not great as it is, adding stuff like this devalues it even more! Facts check all your deals and negotiate or be truthful with the copy! Before your customer services team reply: The offer is very clearly 50% off. Not ‘just pizza with a minimum spend’ - please do it reply saying you’ve checked it and verified it as you have not. Put your self in a users position and ask, how would you feel about the offer? Delighted that it’s everything you wanted and more, or short changed and annoyed?

Sneaky auto-renewals without clear notice, no refund even if unused, and they bypass Apple by forcing PayPal payments, leaving users unprotected. App Store rating only 1.8 with many complaints about unauthorized charges.

My membership was auto-renewed without my consent. I contacted Tastecard the same day to cancel but they refused a full refund, offering only £10. I never used the £1 promotional year because the deals were poor and not worth it. This feels like a deliberate tactic to trap customers into paying for something they do not use. If you are in the same position, do not accept a token refund and know your consumer rights.
