ARTICULATION: Learn from 500+ silly and fun cartoon scenes targeting 12 sounds: S, Z, F, V, L, R, SH, CH, J, TH, K, G. Each sound contains at least 10 images in each the initial, medial, and final positions, and blends where appropriate. Each image contains at least 2 target words, and often 3-5 target words. There are also 8 minimal pair images: R/W, L/W, TH/F, S/T, F/P, K/T, G/D, SH/S (Example: "The key is in the tea"). AND 2-syllable and 3-syllable words with 10+ images each. That equals 1,200+ target words in a fun, easy swiping app that kids love. After all images in a set have been swiped, students are greeted with a fun "Congratulations" page and feel accomplished.
LANGUAGE: Practice language concepts with 20+ categories, including 10+ images in each category. This includes grammar concepts: regular and irregular plurals, regular and irregular past tense, present, and future verbs, possessive and subjective pronouns, possessive -s, superlatives, and prepositions. Also, there is vocabulary building images: antonyms, synonyms, homonyms, naming categories, and describing object attributes. Also expressive language sentence formulation: Negations, describing scenes, and question formulation.
For Speech Therapists, this tool is fantastic for short articulation sessions, such as RTI or 5-minute articulation programs, because so many words are included in each image. It also works great in group sessions since the SLP can so easily incorporate this app into favorite games and activities.
Words: Students can easily identify and name the prominent pieces in the image, just like flashcards, but these images are a whole lot more fun! Turn it into a game of "I Spy"!
Sentences: Students can read the sentence below the image, or make up their own sentence to describe the image- they won't be able to avoid using their target sounds!
Expansion and Conversation: Students can guess what might happen next, for example, what will the man do for his thumb that poked a thorn? Or students can answer silly questions about the images, for example, why is the puffin in an office?
For parents, this tool is a quick way to practice articulation targets at home! Because it is easily navigated, kids can be practice words in the car or in a waiting room. And because images are shuffled randomly after each time, students will be engaged again and again.
