At Yam-E Coding, children can experience the principles of programming and knowledge of software through fun coding classes. Yam-E is the first coding education service composed of an open world and metaverse.
Unlike conventional coding education services, Yam-E World adopts a Zone-based open-world approach to elevate the level of children's engagement and user experience. The current version consists of a starting village, but Yam-E World plans to expand further, adding interesting and educational islands in the future.
In the starting village of Yam-E World, children can learn software concepts, understand principles, and solve problems on their own.
Even with excellent education and services, if children cannot concentrate and immerse themselves, the education becomes inevitably didactic. Yam-E Coding, developed over a period of three years by educators and content developers, aims to strike a balance between concentration, fun, and education.
In essence, Yam-E Coding aims for children to learn and solve problems on their own, even without parents or educators. It incorporates the concept of the metaverse into the coding block service, allowing children to explore and learn desired content on their own.
The initial mission focuses on familiarizing children with coding blocks, and subsequently, sequential, iterative, selective, and special missions become available. Instead of following a repetitive curriculum, Yam-E Coding adopts an 'Open Class Progress' approach, allowing children to choose missions and progress at their own pace.
Children can unleash their creativity and imagination through diverse and enjoyable coding lessons in open missions.
Yam-E Coding's unique classes avoid the standardized teaching approach of presenting problems and finding solutions. Yam-E Coding values the process and emphasizes how missions are solved based on different ideas.
In other words, instead of simple missions like moving forward, left, or right, children must think and ponder to solve coding missions in given situations. Yam-E Coding classes incorporate various devices to stimulate children's imagination and creativity.
Interactive mission structures are scattered throughout, making children think about how to act to solve problems. The latest technology is applied, incorporating physics engines to create sliding ice paths, wind that pushes objects backward, and the ability to move objects by adjusting the strength of force.
Additionally, applying the Pythagorean theorem's properties in mathematics allows creating diagonal movements to solve problems with different variables.
Wow, Even This?!
To soothe children's tired minds and brains, Yam-E Coding incorporates special music. Yam-E Coding collaborated with a studio specializing in composing music that positively influences the brain, creating eight songs for Yam-E.
Brain music induces vibration activities related to neuroplasticity, using positive emotions and a low arousal level scale. It uses scales that decrease the activity levels of biomarkers that indicate stress.
Yam-E's Learning Management
Yam-E Coding provides information related to coding block classes easily and quickly through the Yam-E Coding app and the parent page on the Yam-E website.
The My Room feature in the Yam-E Coding app allows users to check this information, and it is designed to show numeric data and situation graphs at the children's eye level. The design ensures that children can easily understand what the graph represents, allowing them to assess the current situation and think about how to utilize Yam-E Coding on their own.
Additionally, the website's parent page provides detailed information about children's learning situations. It goes beyond what children see, allowing parents to closely monitor and analyze their child's learning situation.
