GyPSy Guide’s narrated driving tour for the Great Ocean Road on Victoria’s southern coast, is an excellent way to enjoy all the benefits of a guided tour while you explore at your own pace. The tour follows the most spectacular section of the drive between Torquay and Peterborough.
There are 260+ audio points that play automatically along the scenic drive, featuring the best things to see and do, stories, tips and driving directions.
Professional tour guides share advice on how to prioritize your time at recommended “not to be missed” viewpoints, suggested side-trips and places of interest. Tours are filled with entertaining stories to provide a deeper connection to the region we are visiting.
Tours work offline, using free GPS signal, so no data roaming, mobile network, or WiFi is required while touring.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
This tour can be driven in either direction, east to west, or reverse – it’s your choice.
The coastline along the Great Ocean Road is incredibly scenic. Every corner opens a new vista and you will want to stop frequently for the views and photos. The tour is designed to help you know the best places to stop, and which ones are OK to skip if you are limited for time.
The most famous highlight is of course the 12 Apostles and the collection of rock formations on and off the coastline. The tour will ensure that you know how to prioritize your time to the most rewarding locations, and also recommend some of the less-visited viewpoints.
As well as the many outstanding views, we'll pass through some classic beach towns and there are many places where we can take a nice hike through rainforest or a bushwalking to waterfalls.
There are excellent opportunities to spot koalas, kangaroos and native Australian birdlife, some at very reliable locations.
In fact, there are so many stops to make, it can be overwhelming to know where to focus your valuable time. The tour commentary will make sure you know which are the "not to be missed" locations, and which places are a bonus if we have enough time. You won’t miss any of the best things to see and do.

BATTERY USAGE:
++ Continued use of GPS/Location Services in the background increases battery usage. We strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle.
