With SkinScreener, we have developed an innovative solution to assess the personal risk of skin cancer – clinically tested and approved as a medical device in the European Union. SkinScreener is a Class IIa medical device according to the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and is developed under a certified ISO 13485 quality management system.
Early detection – as studies show – is crucial for successful treatment. Statistically, in Europe and the USA, 20% of people are diagnosed with skin cancer at least once in their lifetime. In addition to regular dermatological examinations, the app makes it possible to quickly and easily analyze suspicious skin areas and provides a smart way to determine your skin cancer risk.
According to a clinical study conducted at the Medical University of Graz, SkinScreener achieved an impressive clinical accuracy of 95% in skin cancer risk assessment.

How does SkinScreener work in detail?
◼ Examine your skin for unusual spots and focus the camera at the desired area
◼ Hold your smartphone steady and press the shutter button
◼ Take a photo while keeping your phone steady
◼ If the image is not too blurry, the risk assessment automatically starts through our neural network
◼ An easy-to-understand three-color code shows the skin cancer risk (Green: low, Yellow: medium, Red: high)
Based on your risk assessment, you will be advised to consult a dermatologist for further examination to obtain a precise medical diagnosis.
