UPDATE: The November 4, 2025 update fully corrected all my problems. I am now happy to give it 5-stars. I have been using this app for 10-15 years and love it. But the recent update doesn't work properly on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. The UI extends into the notifications area, which makes it very difficult to use. I hope that they will fix this soon. Edited to add that I sent screenshots to the developer's email.

So much buggy behavior. For example: can't reliably get it to open a new file, when you've solved an imported puzzle it loses all the meta information, etc.

I'm pretty sure the first time I bought this app was for my shiny new iPod touch, if that gives you an indication of how long I've been using it. I've paid for it on three different platforms. I've tried other crossword apps, but this one is far and away the best. Had a display glitch recently but it was quickly fixed. Excellent, excellent app.

thanks for reverting back to the previous layout...however know the app keeps opening a puzzle automatically that I never opened. can't back out to the list to play a previous one.

I can't remember when I first used this app but it has to be almost 10 years. Problems are rare and always promptly corrected.

Deleted part of my last review so I can say the developer is fantastic. I appreciate them replying, and for the update. Old: I love this app, but it seems that I can't import puz files inside the app. 'Add from file' opens the /system folder, and my puzzles are in /storage/emulated/0 (The user accessable path)....

I love this app, but it seems that I can't import puz files inside the app. 'Add from file' opens the /system folder, and my puzzles are in /storage/emulated/0 (The user accessable path). I tried accessing "Downloads" from the hamburger menu and backing out of the folder to get to my puzzle directory but it's empty (assume its Android security sandboxing). I can open each puzzle individually from the Android file manager, but I've got thousands of puzzles and it's hard to import this way.
