Classic Sudoku
Short Description (

)
Handcrafted Sudoku puzzles by the most popular Sudoku channel!
Description (
Characters: 1771 of 4000
)
Presented by Cracking The Cryptic, the most popular Sudoku channel, this is the brand new “Classic Sudoku” game that their viewers have been requesting for the last two years! Simon Anthony and Mark Goodliffe, the hosts of Cracking The Cryptic, have assembled a most extraordinary collection of sudoku puzzles. The sudokus in the game cover a wide range of difficulty with something for everyone - and also require an incredible range of techniques to solve them efficiently! Each of these special puzzles had to qualify for inclusion in the game by passing our rigorous play-testing - a test that NO other sudoku game on the market would pass. This play-testing ensures that a human being has actually thought about the journey you, the solver, will go on as you work through the puzzle. No computer testing here! Indeed our more advanced puzzles have been carefully designed to showcase some of the diabolical techniques in an intuitive way with the aim of helping solvers UNDERSTAND the patterns involved. In Cracking The Cryptic’s games, players start with zero stars and earn stars by solving puzzles. The more puzzles you solve, the more stars you earn and the more puzzles you get to play. Only the most dedicated (and cleverest) sudoku players will finish all the puzzles! Featured authors include (obviously) Simon and Mark but also some other authors who have produced popular puzzles on the channel! Mark and Simon have both represented the UK many times in the World Sudoku Championship and you can find more of their puzzles (and lots of others) on the internet’s biggest sudoku channel, Cracking The Cryptic. Features: 40 beautiful puzzles on launch 5 new levels every month for the first year (a total of 100 levels!) Hints written by Mark and Simon!}

Great app. Loved the difficulty variety of the sudokus. The tools given to solve them are great and make is easy to track all of your pencil marks and notes you need to solve. I just wish there were more than 100 puzzles as now I don't have anymore to solve.

Love the loaded games. But using the interface is NOT intuitive. Example: I turn on coloring the squares and fumble my way to actually coloring some of them. Hooray, right? Wrong. I swear there is absolutely no way to switch back out of coloring the squares! I've tried everything available on the interface, but no dice! WTH? And just you try to find any kind of tutorial on how to navigate this app. Hello? Instructions anyone? I really want to be able to use this thing but can't get help!

The best classic sudoku app that I have used. I like the highlighting of both numbered and noted cells, the ability to enter notes in multiple cells and ability to use centre and corner notes. Plus some quite tricky puzzles.

Latest update broke the UI. Instead of the numbers in the box being evenly spaced, they now appear shifted to the right, as if the box has a 4th column of empty space.

The latest update broke drag to select multiple squares. Also, the sudoku list flashes and does not load on Pixel 10 Pro XL when the display is set to Standard Resolution. It does show properly when set to Max Resolution.

Whoa, what did you do with that August 25 update? This is much worse. Numbers in the corner notation look weird and unpredictable this way, and it's no longer possible to select cells by sliding your finger off the board and on in another position, making it harder to select all the cells not seen by existing placed numbers. Please reconsider :( edit: taking off another star, it completely throws off the flow of my game, taking away my "comfort food" game on my phone. why fix what wasn't broken.

Best app for just plain sudoku. I'm happy to pay for an app if it's actually worth it. This is worth it, especially at such a reasonable price. Sadly, I finished all the puzzles, and the last update was 2023, so I doubt there will be more to come. Didn't stop me from putting in probably too many hours trying to solve all of the challenges. Would get 5 stars if there were more to complete.
