In Eight-Minute Empire, 2-5 players take turns selecting a card from the six displayed. This card gives the player a resource, and also has an action which the player takes immediately. Actions help players take over the map, but the resources are worth points at the end of the game, so players have to balance the two aspects. Players spread across the map in order to collect points at the end of the game by having majority control in regions and continents. Could Acram just take over all digital board game design? The UI is insanely polished. I’ve played the game about a dozen times in 24 hours and I’m ready to take on higher AI difficulty. Edit: one thing I can’t stand about online multiplayer is that you can’t add AI players to a multiplayer game. Seems like this could be done and would make it easier for two people to play online multiplayer but not have to resort to a two player game.

The game would be great, but sadly online games on iOS won't work for several weeks now. If somebody opens a room, no one else can see it. People are reporting the bug in the game chat, on Steam and also to the official mail adress of the developer. But no reaction. Bisher keine Reaktion.

I am giving 5 stars because this game delivers the concept. I wish it could have a campaign mode to improve the longevity of it. Even if it was an extra pay, but it could increase a lot the value of it.

Bought the game but there's no sign of my purchase. Very weird and I'm not able to download it on any other device unless I pay again. Perhaps it's an Apple issue but I was hoping this would resolve itself but clearly hasn't. Game itself is ok but can feel very biased against the human player.

In this game, you move armies around to control territories. But there is never any interaction between the opposing armies! Your cannot attack another player's armies, even if you want to. You simply share territories with your opponent. And you can move your armies right through an opponent's territory, as if your opponent wasn't even there. Very odd and unrealistic. I suppose the board game plays the same way. I've only played this app version. And although I liked the clever use of cards here, I found the rest of the game to be rather odd, and dull.

I played this game many times and I can say that In 1v1 mode the first player always loses the game. So boring You can spend all of your money on bidding to be the second player and you won’t need any money, just doing the last move is enough to win the game. As I mentioned the problem is if you have less money it is not hard to win. You must change the rules to make it more balanced.

While many civilization building games are marathons, this one is more like a 100 yard dash. You play cards to gain resources, which you have to balance, and choose actions from city building, raising troops, moving your troops, naval movement, destroying enemies, etc. the objective is to control regions of the board and preferably continents which you do by gaining a majority. You have a limited number of turns and curren$y to work with, and often the game is over before you know it, generally 10 minutes or so. These limitations make a quick play, but they also mean that each movie has to be thought about pretty carefully, because you don’t have time to waste. Well done!
