Aik lafz jo har khaas o aam ki zuban par hota hai aur bachpan se hamain yad bhi karwaya jata hai woh hai "mujaddid" lekin bohat hi kam log is lafz kay asal mafhoom se agah hon gi. Moulana ne is lafz ka jo mafhoom byan kia woh yeh hai "Aisa shakhs jo deen ko az sar e nou zinda aur taaza karay" woh mujadid kehlai ga.
A mujaddid, is an Islamic term for one who brings "renewal" to the religion. According to the popular Muslim tradition, it refers to a person who appears at the turn of every century of the Islamic calendar to revive Islam, cleansing it of extraneous elements and restoring it to its pristine purity. Tajdeed o Ahya e Din is master piece of Syed Abul Aala Maududi. In this book Moulana Maududi gives details of the work done by all Mujaddideen.
