Did small and fun excercises. But you have to pay and it's very expensive for something you use 3-10 minutes a day. And they use AI-generated videos. The price is just ridiculous for something not completely authentic.

It hits the sweet spot for me. Bite-size movements, educational motivation, and a good mix of annoying/encouraging. 😄 I don't like subscriptions, but this one is an exception.

I really want to love this app but as a burnt out college student who struggles to find time to workout this app would have been my favorite if there was a free version. I can’t afford to pay . Or at least have a one time payment option

I can’t access the full library of stretches from the timer any more. I used to be able to, but that was removed in one of the latest updates. The timer is my most used feature, so I want the freedom to select my stretch from the full library when I’m using this feature.

I used this app for years. I found it indispensable for managing my chronic pain in an easy to follow format, and I’ve come to really appreciate their feature that blocks apps based on activity. Unfortunately, this year I might just have to let the subscription run out. The new crop of exercises are clearly generated with AI. They’re garish, offputting, and I can no longer trust the integrity of the exercises I’m being shown. Good job burning down the planet and slashing jobs for the same creatives you advertise to. If companies using AI matters to you, and you want accurate exercises you can trust instead of machine hallucinations, look elsewhere. Bummer.

I’ve been using Wakeout for a couple of years now to break up butt-in-chair hours. The exercises are flat fun, and so diverse there is always so much to try. The music supports the energizing nature of the exercises. And Wakeout recently added so many new physical exercises and brain energizing routines. I really like being able to choose how long I want the Wakeout to last, and can adapt any of the exercises to my physical ability. The integrated timer helps me structure a non-work day so that I can work in bursts of activity in between sedentary bouts of studying, reading, housework. Some days I ramp up some of the more challenging routines to 20 minutes and do a couple of rounds of these to count towards a daily workout. And the price…amazingly affordable for all that you get in Wakeout.

I work from home and tend to hyperfocus quite a bit. Wakeout helps me get up and move about regularly and it’s made a real difference this past month both in my body and mind. One minute is so short you’ll never be too lazy or busy to do it. Truly a wonderful idea. It could also a very friendly, non intimidating way for someone who is entirely sedentary to introduce some gentle movement in their daily life. I also love how positive and non-fatphobic the Supportive Friend mode is. I haven’t tried the others. Love this little app!

It’s crazy that there isn’t even a free option, either you get it or you don’t smh. Oh but don’t worry they give you a 7 day free trial

I have tried many apps to try and maintain exercise and mobility and ended up not doing them after a while as they are rarely aimed truly at those with health conditions. This is one reason I stopped The Apple Fitness subscription. I have stuck with Wakeout as it does exactly what I need. Not all app reviews do follow ups so what may seem a good app at the beginning may not be further down the line; hence my review a year or so after starting. I love the way Wakeout is so adaptable for the individual’s needs from 1 minute upwards. Also the app features ‘normal’ looking people and not ‘stick insects’ with veneered teeth with perfect figures; they use people who you might see out on the street. The app is also updated regularly with new exercise packs. I will definitely be sticking with Wakeout for my limited exercise needs, and I look forward to how it will be developed in the future as so far I have been impressed.
