Downloaded, to have this showing my pdf lyrics and use AirTurn. Couldn’t get AirTurn to work with it, and im sure there is a button in there to make it so. But this is not a user-app, its an app made from a programmer, to a programmer. If you enjoy more to dig down in customizing everything, this is the app. If you just want to play music and have an app help you with text or notes and such, this is NOT it. I wanted to get into the music and not spend an afternoon trying to learn and remember all things this does. Search goes on.

Just downloaded on advice from my partner. There needs to be some sort of tutorial to even begin to understand how to operate this app. I’ll stick with ForScore.

I’ve been using Bandhelper since the beginning. It is extremely powerful. I currently play drums in an 80’s cover band and have automated scrolling lyrics, reference songs, notes, backing tracks, charts and more attached to each song. Building set lists is a breeze. I use the schedule feature and use the checklist function every gig…it has saved me multiple times. I have also use it for heavily charted bands and shows. Works great. With the amazing and useful features comes a steep learning curve and complexity. There are several tutorials that help. It doesn’t take long to set up set lists. But be ready to spend lots of hours to utilize BandHelper fully. I hate the scrolling features. I spend tons of time to get lyrics to scroll correctly. There are other paging methods, but being a singing drum triggering the paging while playing has not worked for me. Arlo is an amazing developer and his team is very responsive to technical issues when you use their processes which for me is time consuming. I have tried just about every app out there and nothing compares to BandHelper. I sometimes get annoyed with big revisions as they have affected functionality. It occasionally crashes data entry but has never crashed during a performance.

We’ve been using BandHelper in our band for a while now, and it’s been an absolute game-changer. As a keyboardist, I especially appreciate the seamless integration with Bluetooth MIDI. Being able to automatically switch keyboard patches per song has saved me so much time and eliminated the stress of manual changes during gigs. The app is incredibly versatile. We use it for setlists, lyrics and chords. Everything is well organized and synchronized across our band members’ devices, making rehearsals and live performances run much more smoothly. Highly recommended for any band, and a must-have if you’re a keyboard player working with multiple sounds or setups. BandHelper simply makes life on stage easier and more professional.

After using BandHelper for many years I stopped gigging. That meant I also stopped using BH for a while. Recently picked it up again and rediscovered the treasure chest that BH is. It provides so many usability features that really matter. So great value for money, its a nobrainer.

Wanting to get lyrics and chords onto a lyric prompter i chose Bandhelper as i found it easy to use, although it has some quirky ways of working. It has far more than i will ever need and i struggle with a few processes but i just need time to adjust my way of thinking. I would 100% recommend it and yes i tried other apps before paying the subscription.

I progressed from set using list maker to BandHelper and I do value this product line for the following reasons: 1. The midi control features allow me to seamlessly set up my pedalboard on the fly as each song is selected. I am able to use my looper unit as a backing track repository whilst being enabled through my beatbuddy pedal and both being controlled with midi from an iPad. 2. The interface for song library management is very intuitive once the familiarization cycle is over with. The use of ‘Projects’ allows for segregation of content for other ‘bands’ a musician might be part of. There are choices in how lyrics can be incorporated into each song, from pdfs to cutting and pasting directly from an external source. There are a myriad of features to enhance the operation and visual presentation of any song selection. This is indeed a layered and well thought out system; you use what you need. 3. The ability to share changes and content with band members instantly is marvelous and that tedious emailing, messaging and trying to update everyone in a band is now gone with BandHelper. I could list many more reasons on why this is a great product and the product specs can give insight to those features. The point I am making here is that if you just want a simple “display the setlist and view the lyrics”, there are programs that will do that for you. However, if you want a comprehensive package that will do whatever you need it to do, then BandHelper is totally worth considering.

Daumen hoch!

* Updated the search buttons on the song edit page to open a web browser within a BandHelper popup window, with buttons to import the main page container, the selected text or the current page URL. You can use this to easily copy lyrics, chords, song facts or video links into the Lyrics, Chords or Notes fields. More details are in the Adding Lyrics tutorial. • Added a Notes - For Client field to the invoice edit page. You can use this to add notes for the client to the invoice PDF. The Notes - Internal field is not visible to clients. • Updated chat message popups to appear above a full-screen document viewer. • Fixed the display of shared notes in the notes popup when personal notes are also set. • Fixed the display of the notes popup from a Notes button in the song list. • Stopped selecting the song when clicking the Notes button for a different song in the song list. • Fixed a problem where the eraser tool would show as active in the annotation toolbar even though it was not active. • Fixed a problem that showed the Device Offline message for automatic syncs that were run after a manual sync. • Removed the fading from popup window titles in iOS 26.

* Added a chromatic tuner to the set list view. You can edit your layout and add the Tuner button to show it, or trigger the Other > Show/Hide Tuner app control action. Using the tuner requires microphone permission on your device. If you open the tuner while BandHelper is playing other audio, that audio might be interrupted. * Updated the Notes button in the set list view to show all of the user's custom fields for the song, in addition to the shared notes and personal notes. This makes it easy to see custom field values that aren't displayed in the layout, without opening the song's edit page. If you want to leave any custom fields out of this display, you can go to Repertoire > Custom Fields > [custom field name] and turn off Include In Notes Popup. • Enabled manual scrolling on the Chords field when the chords are longer than the available display height. Scrolling from hotspots, app control, automation tracks or auto-scroll still requires putting long chord content into the Lyrics field. • Fixed a problem where the recording edit page didn't load the saved Users value, which made it seem like the value wasn't saving. • Fixed the styles of the bottom toolbar buttons on the stage plot Edit Layout page on iOS 26. • Fixed a crash when loading the Stage Plots > Notes page.
