i love this game’s concept. makes me super frustrated sometimes but overall i love this game. i would really love to see it become a real card game as i would like to somehow play it with my friends and family. additionally, it’s unfortunate that this game is no longer being serviced as i would love to see new worlds get added. that said, with the immense saturation of low-effort games within the mobile genre, you can’t blame the devs for moving on from it. aside from that, great game, awesome artwork, and overall my favourite mobile game of all time. Thanks for making such a high quality game!

This game is an absolute blast, works offline, and has the best ad implementation I’ve seen in a long time. Ads are opt-in, and unnecessary to finish the game. You’re not locked behind any energy system, meaning the game actually lets you play ad much as you want. Come play this game, it’s better than most on this app store.

One of the best iOS games - It does have in app purchases but the game is playable in full without them, and there’s not many (6 total I think?), all under $5. The game is also a little more luck based than I’d like, but not to the point of being unacceptable. Very much Slay The Spire like, but not a clone, just a similar gameplay loop.

This is a good game, but it’s unplayable due to ads. There’s a pop up every other encounter and it really kills the mood and flow of the game. I get that devs need to make money, but they have incentivized ads for a reason. My suggestion is to increase the buff players get from VOLUNTARILY watching an ad, and remove pop ups IF players are watching incentivized ads. This way it would be roughly the same amount of ads, but players will most likely choose to watch on their own, making them feel less frustrated. I’m not going to continue playing until that is implemented. Such a horrible experience.

Rogulike with holy sh..t balance, wow. Only random. Opponents full their scale every time. Enemies ability more powerful than player

FWIW I really liked this game when I first started playing, I immediately bought all three spirits and I rarely feel it’s worth spending money on apps. Over time I’ve found this game can be needlessly frustrating, but with a few small tweaks it could be more functional and more fun. 1: when the player is presented with new gear and the opportunity to compare it to extant gear, allow the player to tap the cards’ icons to learn what they do, as you can do in other equipment screens. There are already select buttons below the cards, those are sufficient without making the cards themselves also instant select buttons. 2: Make it clear in text that Shadow Clone Prism doesn’t stack. Same with Amass Anger. It’s unintuitive that these don’t stack, maybe even just fix the fact that they don’t? 3: Speaking of Shadow Clone Prism, it’s unfair how many cards it doesn’t properly apply to so it’s just wasted, like the one that doubles XP from winning the battle. The game doesn’t inform about, or address this, you just find out the hard way over and over… 4: When the player is stunned, they “can’t play any cards.” Fine. But why can’t the player discard while stunned?? Unintuitive. 5: “Traditionalist” enemies don’t like the use of flux cards, right? So why does that mean they’ll happily use loads of them while preventing the player from using them? That’s not a traditionalist, that’s a hypocrite. 6: the player can’t play any hand cards once they’re standing, so why can enemies? I implore you to remove this mechanic or balance it. There’s inherently no counterplay and tbh it just feels cheap and like you’re cheating the player when it happens. Thanks!

Great time, love the roguelite elements, far deeper combat than youd expect from the elevator pitch

I've completed the game by beating the final boss and I want to share my thoughts. Initially, it is a fun experience and the game has an art style I really like. However when this honeymoon stage ends, the main issues emerge. My main issue is the RNG element. Far too often, the game feels rigged against you. Often mobs consistently roll 12s, sometimes in succession. While you can counter this with cards to reset the meter, it becomes a tedious cycle. On multiple occasions, I used a card to reset a mob’s meter after it hit 12, only for it to immediately roll 12 again. Some of the cards bosses use also seem unfair. The Corrupted Mainframe boss in the space wreckage has cards such as “Rigged Outcome” (I’m not even joking, that’s the name) that guarantee high rolls (such as 9 to 12 and 11 to 12). This feels incredibly unbalanced. Another frustrating moment was during one of the final Void boss’s phases when it used a card called “Hero Killer”, which dealt 94 damage. That felt particularly harsh. Ad placement is another issue. Getting an ad every 3 rooms becomes tedious. There also seems to be a 50% chance of triggering an ad when entering a side room. Reducing the frequency of ads per room would improve my experience. That said, I always watch ads for cards, so perhaps this system could be expanded in a way that benefits players more. After beating the boss, there is an option to go on an "endless" run, where enemies progressively get tougher. However, after a few runs with the frustrating RNG and intrusive ad placements, I found myself growing too frustrated and ultimately uninstalled the game.
