Plant Power is your fiber tracker in your journey towards a healthy gut! Plant Power helps you track and boost your fiber intake by monitoring your consumption of fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and other plant sources. Harnessing insights from gut health pioneers such as Dr. Will Bulsiewicz and Dr. Alan Desmond, this fiber tracker operates on the principle that a varied, plant-based diet rich in fiber is essential for cultivating a diverse gut microbiome, a key factor in overall health, digestion, and immunity. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, fruitarian, flexitarian, or even a meat-eater looking to improve your fiber intake, Plant Power is built to support your goals. With this fiber tracker, you’ll be able to: === 1. Set Daily & Weekly Goals - Personalize your fiber intake goals to fit your unique lifestyle and health objectives. Track daily and weekly consumption of diverse plant sources to improve your gut health. A great benchmark? Aim for 30 different plants per week. That's an approach supported by research from leading nutritionfacts.org contributors. 2. Intuitive Food Entry - Quickly log the fruits, vegetables, legumes, seeds, and other plant-based foods you eat throughout the day with a clean, easy-to-use interface. You can manually enter the plants you eat, take a picture with your camera, or simply talk to the app. It takes less than 30 seconds. 3. Motivational Goal Tracker - Visualize your progress through an elegant goal tracker. Instantly see how close you are to meeting your daily and weekly targets, keeping your fuel consumption on a fiber-first trajectory that supports digestive health and energy levels. 4. Dynamic Calendar View - Stay consistent with your healthy eating habits by reviewing your performance over time. The calendar makes it easy to spot patterns and celebrate your progress. 5. Advanced Statistics - Gain insight into your plant/fiber intake with detailed charts and stats. See trends, identify gaps, and become more mindful about your dietary patterns and microbiome diversity. 6. Meals - Don’t want to log every single plant? Create reusable meals to add multiple ingredients in seconds. Perfect for busy schedules and batch-prepped meals. 7. Use Your Camera - Take a photo of your meal or nutrition label, and let Plant Power automatically detect and log plant-based ingredients. Whether you're dining out or cooking at home, this feature makes tracking fast and accurate. 8. Use Your Voice - Log plants in seconds by talking to the app, telling it what you ate. The app uses AI to extract the plant sources from your recording. This fiber tracker is more than an app. It's a lifestyle shift. === It empowers you to embrace a fiber-rich diet, optimize your gut health, and build long-term habits that benefit your overall well-being. It's your daily partner on a data-driven, plant-powered journey toward health. Plant Power does not provide medical or dietary advice. Always consult with a healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your diet or lifestyle. The app is designed to support, not replace, your relationship with your healthcare provider. I’ve really enjoyed this App. It’s certainly made me think more about the variety of foods that I’ve been eating. When I ran across an issue, I contacted BART and he responded immediately, solved my problem and updated the App. Great customer service! Way to go BART!!

I love this app as it simple to use and helps me to track my 30 plants per week. The information on plants is very helpful and this has inspired me to eat more plant based food which for me is crucial whilst having cancer treatment. Well worth using!

This app is a useful way for me to try to up my fiber intake without becoming too focused on grams. My only complaint is that there’s a lot of plants not on there. (Why are “craisins” an option but raisins aren’t?)

Most features are behind a pay wall and you cant put in different measures/portions of things (eg half an avocado)

Disappointed as this app tracks number of different plants consumed but does not give any data on how many grams of fiber one is consumed each day.

I found this app when looking for something to help me track my goal of 30 plans per week. It fits the bill perfectly! Some ideas from a fellow designer 🙂: - using icons or emojis for each plant so that when you look at your list you get a little visual indicator of variety - I would love to be able to see which plants I HAVEN’T eaten in the week as a way to get ideas to add to my variety! - it would also be cool to tap into a plant and see more info like nutrients, category (ex. brassica family). You could also do more cool statistics with those categories.
