The new king of card games
Description (

Move over Solitaire, there's a new king of card games! King’s Corner, or Kings in the Corner, is a great game for all ages—easy to pick up and endlessly entertaining. Play on your own with an AI that’s as challenging as you like: one to three opponents can miss moves while you’re still learning and be laser-accurate once you’ve mastered the game. Play with friends online via Game Center or in-person with our pass & play mode that’s all the fun with none of the shuffling and dealing. King’s Corner 3 is a universal purchase for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, and has been fully optimized for the latest OS versions. As always, it's fully compatible with VoiceOver so players with limited or no vision are welcome. Here’s how the game works: King's Corner uses the same basic rules as games like Solitaire—cards are placed in descending order and in alternating colors. A red 9 can be played on a black 10, or a black ace can be placed on a red 2. The deck is set up with 8 spaces around the deck; four king spaces (marked with a crown) and four unmarked spaces. You'll get a new card at the beginning of every turn, and the goal of the game is to get rid of your cards first by making as many of the following types of moves as possible: • Add a card to any existing stack • Move a card or stack in one unmarked space to the bottom of any other card or stack. King stacks don't move, since there's nothing higher than a King. • Start a new stack if there's an empty space on the table. Only kings can start the corner stacks, but any other card can start a stack in one of the four unmarked spots.}

I downloaded the free version of this app, but it didn’t take me long to get the paid version. I love this game! I’m blind and can use it very well with VoiceOver. I tried an accessible solitare game, but quickly deleted it in favor of King’s Corner. One aspect of the game which is perhaps not talked about as much is that I can play with my sighted wife. She can see the cards just fine. I did have to train her on how to move the cards with VoiceOver, but she quickly picked that up. King’s corner is just the card game I was looking for. Now, if we want to play a game together on my phone, King’s Corner is one of the choices, and ends up being the choice many times. I do get frustrated when the computer/bots beat me, but it is still fun. And, most of the time, I elect to play again. Thanks for a great game that is fully accessible, and can be played by anyone, regardless of vision. There is one suggestion I have for improving this game. Most of the time when I perform a VoiceOver double tap and hold gesture, or long press in order to move cards from my hand, I get feedback from the destination stack. However, there have been a few times that I slide my finger over where I think the destination stack should be and don’t get any audio feedback. Perhaps an option could be added to play a beep or give a slight vibration when the destination stack is reached. This would adress the issue when the stack doesn’t speak. This non-speaking doesn’t happen all the time, but it is something I have noticed. Other than that small quirk, this is the perfect accessible and addictive cardgame.

Many years ago, I heard that many sighted people played it. I’ve always wondered what the fascination was about that game, but haven’t found an accessible version to play.

My favorite part of this app besides the clarity of it, is you are able to add a picture to the back of your card deck and that is awesome 👏

So glad I found this! The design and interface are super neat, everything flows smooth as can be. I’ve tried different types of solitaire games, and this is now my favorite one. It’s enjoyable to play, challenging but not frustrating. Way to go, developers! I also appreciate the fair premium price with no ads or IAP. I highly recommend this game!
