Formation Set-up

Unbelievably poor execution on this app and just B&W software in general. The speakers never connect, lag when songs change and now have dropped off of the ‘spaces’ and can no longer connect even after reset. The app just ‘loses connection’ to the speaker at random times and cannot be reconnected. Brutal app and the company has no customer support to speak of either.

Unfortunately the speakers are almost impossible to use on apple tvs and other tvs. Always disconnecting. Volume issues. No arc port. No remote.

Dear B&W Team, I love the sound and design of the formation system but the firmware still needs work. After the recently introduced firmware update coming alongside the new apps the performance of the formation system deteriorated for me. I am connected to my TV via optical and it now takes significantly longer for the formation to turn on automatically based on the optical signal. I am talking 3-5x longer than before that update. Furthermore I notice many more dropouts and sound errors which require to pull the plugs off the entire system and restart it (force restart of system via app didn’t fix no sound coming out of the speakers). I hope you are aware of these issues and working on a new firmware update to address all this. Thank you

But how do I play iPhone music to the wedge?? There’s no option to connect via Bluetooth?? I’m so frustrated with how NOT easy the setup is.

No sound from the speakers and no control buttons anymore in the new app. Cannot control the speakers and the sound is gone. I can restart it but still nothing. Please help!

I am a Mac user, I am using 2 flex and found the speakers always lost connection when i am watching YouTube by using airplay. I am not sure both speakers go to sleep mode or what, please fix it!

Theoretisch seit dem Update ganz gut gemeint, leider kappt so einiges noch nicht: 1. Ich kann keine Duo mit einer Flex koppeln - wieso eigentlich nicht? Warum brauche dafür eigentlich immer noch die Set-up App? 2. Das Audio lässt sich mit den Duos koppeln aber leider auch nicht mit einer Flex, wenn die Duos mit dem Audio gekoppelt sind. Wieso auch immer die Boxen sich gegenseitig nicht mögen...nicht jeder nutzt es als Multiroom sondern vielleicht möchte man die Boxen als Surround nutzen. 3. Die App zeigt nur auf dem iPad meine Zonen an, auf dem iPhone keine Chance, keine Zonen da. Ja, bin im gleich Netzwerk angemeldet, kein Plan warum das nicht funktioniert. 4. Wieso können die Formations eigentlich kein 5,0 GHz? - hat nichts mit dieser App zu tun aber Apple mag lieber das 5,0 GHz-Netz... 5. Wenn man nun also die App über ein iPad nutzt, sieht man auch seine Zonen. Wenn man nun aber mal einen Musiktitel wechselt, muss man relativ häufig wieder die Flex neu einbinden, weil die komischerweise immer unterwegs verloren gehen. 6. Ich frage mich auch, wieso man nirgends Hilfe zur App findet...sollte theoretisch zwar intuitiv laufen aber wenn das eine oder andere mit dem Koppeln nicht funktioniert, wären Hilfehinweise diesbezüglich nett, damit man nicht stundenlang versucht und immer wieder scheitert. Geht man auf Hilfe - online Support, bekommt man nur Hilfe zu den Boxen nicht aber zur App selbst. 7. Über das Audio wollte ich unseren Fernseher anschließen, leider lassen sich so nur die Duos oder die Flex mit dem Fernseher verbinden, weil diese sich gegenseitig - wie oben beschrieben - blockieren und ich verstehe nicht wieso, vielleicht bin ich auch zu blöd dazu, dann scheint es aber auch nicht so einfach zu gehen wie man es sich wünscht. Am meisten stört mich, dass man die Boxen nicht alle in eine Zone koppeln kann, so muss ich also immer manuell die Boxen ansprechen, damit ich Surround Klang bekomme - schade. In freudiger Erwartung lebe ich derzeit mit diesen Hürden und erfreue mich an dem super Klang der Boxen, die einmalig sind, leider hapert es noch an der Steuerung aber hoffen wir mal, dass hier auf Hochtouren gearbeitet wird und Lösungen bald präsentiert werden.

With the latest update The Formation Bar and Sub are out of control concerning Treble and Bass. There is NO change in sound when adjusting. This a sad conclusion due to the fact I spend quite a lot of money and have such bad sound . My Frame TV speakers are better and more clear than my Formation Bar …. Please fix 😩🥵😩🥵😡
