CreditWise is a free credit monitoring tool that could help you improve your credit score. We believe in empowering people with the tools to effectively monitor and manage their credit, no matter where they are in their credit journey. That's why CreditWise is completely free. Plus, using it won't hurt your credit score and you won't ever be asked to enter a credit card number. With CreditWise, you'll have free access to your FICO® Score 8 and TransUnion® credit report—plus targeted advice, tools and alerts to help you monitor your credit. You'll also get free access to identity theft monitoring tools—like dark web alerts—to help you take action when your information is detected somewhere suspicious. Get free: ● Updates as frequently as daily to your TransUnion-based FICO Score 8. ● Access to your TransUnion credit report to look for signs of error, theft or fraud. ● Alerts if your Social Security number or email address are found on the dark web. ● Clarity on how certain everyday decisions may affect your credit score with the Credit Simulator. ● Helpful breakdowns of the key factors that make up your credit score and how you’re doing on each of them. ● Suggestions to help you improve your credit score. ● Alerts about select changes to your TransUnion or Experian® credit reports. ● Alerts if any new names or addresses were associated with your Social Security number on a credit application. Ever wanted to know the impact of certain financial decisions on your credit score, before you make them? CreditWise has a tool for that. Use the Credit Simulator to see how different scenarios—like opening a new credit card—could affect your FICO Score 8. Knowing how certain actions could impact your score may help you establish, maintain and build credit for more financial stability. CreditWise is free, fast, secure and available to every adult who is 18 or older residing in the US with a Social Security number and a report on file at TransUnion. Download the app today and take control of your credit. The credit score provided in CreditWise is a FICO® Score 8 based on TransUnion® data. The FICO Score 8 gives you a good sense of your credit health but it may not be the same score model used by your lender or creditor. The availability of the CreditWise tool and certain features in the tool depends on our ability to obtain your credit history from TransUnion and whether you have sufficient credit history to generate a FICO Score 8. Some monitoring and alerts may not be available to you if the information you enter at enrollment does not match the information in your credit file at (or you do not have a file at) one or more consumer reporting agencies. You do not need to be a Capital One account holder to sign up for CreditWise. Alerts are based on changes to your TransUnion and Experian® credit reports and information we find on the dark web. The CreditWise Simulator provides an estimate of your score change and does not guarantee how your score may change.}

CreditWise earlier in the year switched to a FICO score which in and of itself is fine. Though, in December 2025 FICO changed their scoring to accommodate “underserved” communities and they way they are doing it is by dinging responsible borrowers. The same tactics that caused the 2008 crisis is being redeployed by FICO and Fannie Mae. Absolutely disgusting practices and shame on CreditWise for participating.

I have only two loans, home loan, and car loan. All my credit cards are zero balance, all credit cards have been payed off ahead of time in advance. But my credit score has not change but only for a point or two in both directions both positive or negative for this entire year. My car pay payments is already payed UP one year ahead of schedule (January 1, 2027) and it should be payed off by December 1 2025 or January 1 2026. Capital One will credit scoreing is totally waste full because the credits Bureaus are not keeping on the amounts which I owe ! Or Capital One is not keep up with the amount these amounts owed by me

Of all the ratings I receive from other lending/credit card companies, my ratings on this site are usually 35 to 40 points below others with the same data

All 3 Credit scores are higher than Credit Wise by a lot. This is not cool, no way to contact showing them proof they’re off.

The payment history section in the Credit Wise app shows (2) 30+ day late payments -and- (2) 60+ day late payments. Here is the problem; I downloaded all (3) credit reports last night and NONE of them show a single late payment EVER. You can’t reach a human being through the CW app. The chat Evo is useless. There is no way to dispute the inaccurate information Credit Wise reflects and this adversely impacts my credit score. You need to fix the glitch or take it down until your ‘app’ is in sync and aligns with accurate information found in the CRAs.
