My Map
Record items on a map that is personal to you by adding to a map layer. This app uses the latitude and longitude system to record locations on a world map which is shows as pins on a map view. You can have any number of separate map layers each with its own set of map points. Layers can be shared with other people as viewers or contributors so you can develop may layers with friends and family or use as. a business tool to record the location of your customers. Points on the map are saved with a name, free format description a full address, telephone, email and web. The latitude and longitude system allows exact placement and the system is used by Google and Apple so your map data will be universally transferable.
Some key features:
One user can have many layers and each layer can have many points, plus one layer can have many users.
individual accounts with private layers, shared layers from other users or select from separately managed public layers
Any number of layers with any number of points across the world.
Fully interactive map with quick zoom features in addition to Apples standard touch and pinch controls.
Standard, satellite or hybrid map types
Click to navigate using apples built in navigation system.
Store full address, telephone, email and web address in your points with buttons that makes a call, sends and email or opens the web page
Search you points list by point name, town/city or postcode/area code
Easy coordinate adding system, simply find on the map and press the add button.
Live track mode follows your location on the map.
Current location coordinates (Coordinates are stored and shown as decimal but can also be viewed as DMS when you view the full point information screen)
Share layers with other my.map users individuals giving them access to view or act as a contributor.
Internet connection required as all data stored in cloud. Permission to view location not essential but is required for several of the mapping features
When you initially setup your account the World Landmarks layer will automatically be added to your account. This layer was developed as a demonstration layer however if you are interested in helping grow the layer please email and we can add you as a contributor.
This is the first version of My Map but there are plenty of idea's on the horizon. Your feedback and idea's are welcome as we want to make this app one that fits your every need.}
