I’ve stayed on the family plan as a mostly solo user since the beginning to support the team but yeah this random price hike with gated features rubs me the wrong way. There should have been better communication with your more loyal customer base. Unless it starts snowing something fierce I’m out.

If it was offered at $4 a month I’d pay for it. $50 for a year for a weather app is ridiculous when climate and weather data is free.

The old group subscription used to be reasonable, but now it is just extortionate. There’s no way to justify a 300% increase with no additional features.

Can't cancel auto renew, and service has short circuited with nutty “unsupported version” message I can’t fix. How to stop previously good service that has become Like a scam?

A very expensive service for very little accuracy. Forecasts showed sunshine at my place and yet it was snowing. The weather station that is less than a mile away and about 30ft lower than where I live shows temperatures that are consistently 4-5 degrees Celsius higher than OpenSnow. Customer service is not great, mostly very slow to answer any questions (about 3 days). Selling techniques are very misleadingly. Started with the free service, upgraded to the Base level with a 50% discount. Whilst on the Base service, they allow you to use the premium features for a little and then take this away. When trying to upgrade to premium, they claw back the 50% discount and charge you the full price of the premium level. In conclusion, this is a very expensive service which I don’t mind paying as long as you get a good service overall. In the case of OpenSnow, don’t bother! Definitely not worth it…

I’ve been a subscriber since day one. Now forecasts over 10 days have been removed unless I upgrade. Weak.

Open snow has been phenomenal for understanding forecasts up to 10 days and good expert breakdown for each area. But the price hike for "premium" forecasts is laughable. For "accurate 15day forecast". What exactly am I paying for when the experts trash any forecasts outside 7 days. Money grab just stick to base

I have been a paying member of OpenSnow for 2+ years. Apparently they’ve introduced a new, more expensive membership, and now every time I use the app i get pop ups and banners telling me to pay more. It needs to stop
