Left leaning woke journalism. It is my honest opinion and the opinion of the majority of my peers. Thank you.

So far behind RTE it’s not even funny. Many of the stories are second rate… we want the news lads 👍

It is good enough to read short to the point articles. It is however infested with trolls who use multiple accounts and destroy the commenting feature. They speak between themselves and each other and are clearly not playing with the full deck. How could they be spending 24 hours a day on a news app commenting board. Don’t know how you can fix it, but these few individuals have destroyed the app. I will be uninstalling it shortly.

Sports is not news. The app needs the ability to decide which notifications to recieve

Had this app some years now and sadly it continues to slide from a source of news, to simply a platform for the contributors views and egos. Content is often shambolically presented with an overuse of gifs. Probably I’m now outside target audience, with focus now being on people who would rather be told what to think rather than think for themselves. Comments section can be very nasty. Update: Aug 25. Deleted. Don’t mind ads so was happy to read without ‘signing in’. Now mandatory that even to read you have to sign in. Not going to happen . They state that“It could allow us to be more commercially viable to advertisers and make it easier for us to bring you a more tailored and useful experience…To be clear, we haven’t yet decided whether sign-ins will be mandatory in the future; we are using this phase to understand and analyse its impact. Is this the beginning of a paywall? We at The Journal believe access to quality information is a cornerstone of a democratic community. We are committed to being a source for this kind of vital information and it is why we encourage those who can afford it to consider contributing to our readers’ fund to keep access open for those who need it most…” Not happening!

App unusable, ‘journalists’ (Really they’re just illiterate kids at computers, they don’t deserve to be called journalists) post articles missing key data, and often contain grammar and spelling mistakes. Not very professional to not spell check your work

I have no issues with adverts being part of The Journals app, it’s much needed revenue. But when it begins to affect my user experience, I use the app less and less. The video that auto plays at the top of the screen causes the volume of whatever I’m listening to reduce. And now as I’m reading through an article, the text jumps around as I scroll. I suspect this happens as the next advert is loading. I am using the app less as a result.

This app is a far-left publication. Anyone who disagrees with their far-left lunacy is banned and not allowed to comment. Cancel culture on steroids.
