Collect your GIFs. Share them. Love them! If you're a GIF connoisseur, then you need an app that's as serious about them as you are. That's where GIFwrapped comes in. • Use iCloud or Dropbox to add new GIFs and sync your collection. Keep your GIFs on multiple devices and have a backup in the cloud. The digital cloud. No one keeps GIFs in real clouds anymore, everything gets too wet. • Use the bundled Messages app to share GIFs from your Library with your friends in seconds. No muss, no fuss. • Drag and drop GIFs en mass to and from GIFwrapped. Drag them all! Drag them good! • Find new GIFs using Giphy powered search! Just bang in a phrase like "cat" or "lumpy space princess" and be prepared for pure awesome to rain down on you from the heavens. • Import GIFs, Bursts, and Live Photos from your Photo Library. Save them back to Photos, too, if that's your jam. • Use an extension to quickly save images to your library! It's not sexy or anything, but it is super easy and probably fun by someone's standards! • Preview GIFs in standard or retina quality. It all depends on whether you like pixels or not. Upgrade your GIF game even further by subscribing to GIFwrapped Premium for US$9.99 per year (may vary from country to country), which unlocks awesome features, removes ads, and supports an independent creator. • Turn off ads. I hate 'em as much as your do, but a guy's gotta eat. • Bookmark searches for easy access the next time you want them. These things are important for those GIF standoffs your's somehow always getting into. • Reuse, and recycle, your search history as a list of bookmarks, so revisiting the past doesn't need to involve time travel… or memory. • Additional information about images within the Into panel, including number of frames, duration, and more. That way you can know your GIFs inside and out. • Turn off the embedded watermark in Bursts and Live Photos. I mean, liking GIFwrapped is one thing, but to plaster the logo over GIFs of your pets? Probably a bit much. If you choose to subscribe to GIFwrapped Premium, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and the subscription will automatically renew within 24 hours of the end of the current period. You can manage this in Account Settings. Cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to let it lapse. I only downloaded this just for the sake of downloading gifs from twitter/X but they no longer allow that. Please bring it back now, please.

GIFwrapped does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and does it amazingly well. It’s a labor of love by an independent developer and not some side app from a corporation that they’ll give up on in a few years because it doesn’t make money, and that is something I really appreciate about it overall. It’s kept my favorite gifs available at the ready when things like the animated section of my photos app just collects anything that happens to be in .gif format. My family also uses GIFwrapped, and are very happy with it as well. Thanks for making such a niche, yet needed app! :)

I wanted to download a gif from Twitter, but it wasn’t supported. But I don’t blame the developer. That’s a lot of work, and I understand why they chose not to continue. Fun place to gets gifs too

Love the app and all the options. When searching if you could swipe to the next picture I would give 10 stars. :)

Finally!!! The best gif app there is! I never write reviews but I’m so glad this app exists! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Super easy to use and unlike GIPHY and tenor it ACTUALLY WORKS without freezing all the time. There’s also an iMessage app which is amazing and there’s iPad and Mac apps for an added bonus to keep everything synched! Thank you so much!!!

Long winded excuse in the user guide about why it’s difficult to support importing from X….big load of malarkey if you ask me. Sounds more personal than technical. Support X and I’ll download your app.

This used to work with twitter, but doesn't anymore, so I've stopped using it.

This app used to be my go-to app for downloading gifs off Twitter (instead of bookmarking them). It had a few issues, but they were so minor it didn’t matter. However, after El*n Musk took over twitter, the links to the gifs have changed and therefore cannot be hosted or analysed by the app, rendering it useless. So sad, as it seemed to be an indie project.

Hey everyone, this update is small but mighty. Despite attempts at resolving the longtime paging issue where selecting one GIF displays another, the problem still managed to persist. So in an effort to track it down once and for all, I dug deeper… all the way into the custom paging view I'd built to discover some layout timing issues. And so, this update rights this particular wrong, and hopefully puts an end to this saga. But if not, please hit me up with an email to support@gifwrapped.co, where you'll find me desperately trying to take a nap. Until next time, remember: you look nice today.

Hello everyone. I'd hoped to get this release out sooner, but somehow, life always has other plans. Good news, though… this one has some good stuff in it. - It's been a long, long, long, long, long time coming… but GIFwrapped now has its first set of Shortcuts integrations. I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with them just yet, but we'll see where they go from here. - It only took me until 2025, and MARCH at that, but the copyright dates no longer read 2023. What even was 2024, and why have static strings for things like this in the first place? - For whatever reason, Catalyst apps on macOS don't automatically remember the last active window's location or other aspects of the screen's state… which means that GIFwrapped would just re-open in the centre of the active screen each time you open it, annoying the heck out of anyone who has opinions about window placement. You know who you are. I joke, but I also put in a bunch of effort to remember the windows most recent location and sidebar width, and I'll probably add some more aspects to the mix in future updates, because I made it easy to do. - A release or two ago, I updated the mechanics of how I track file changes, and it seems like one of those changes caused changes that occur in the background to get… lost. Like with all lost things, I retraced my steps and somehow found it in the freezer. I've added a nice little workaround to ensure it checks for any changes on returning to the foreground, so we can all sleep a little better. As always, if you need to reach out and tell me about all the things that are going horribly wrong, please toss an email at support@gifwrapped.co. I do a terrible job at responding to emails, but I read them all, and try to address any issues that come up. Until next time, remember: you're not alone.
