Stop that thief! You have traveled to the ancient Maya site of Tulum, Mexico to retrieve stolen artifacts from looters who want to sell them on the black market! The only way to get the artifacts back is to use your math skills.
Dig-It! Games presents Loot Pursuit: Tulum, a fun, skills-based cross-curricular game designed for 5th, 6th, and 7th graders!
It’s a race against time as players try to capture stolen artifacts by solving Common Core Standards-aligned math problems. This fast-paced scramble to save artifacts challenges students with math problems such as basic computation using base ten operations, number sense, and written expressions. If players accurately solve a math problem they recover a Mayan artifact and are presented with historically accurate descriptions of each one in the “Loot” section of the game. But get it wrong and a rare artifact might be lost forever!
Loot Pursuit: Tulum seamlessly combines engaging math practice with culturally relevant historical artifacts and information to create a powerful cross-curricular experience. Players will build math skills and learn history in a fun, approachable way. Each level challenges players to take on the role of a mathematician, archaeologist, police officer and historian. It doesn’t get any more engaging than this!
