The app in general is incredible but if you draw lines in certain directions, they have different thickness. Which is super frustrating. Specially when you do ancient fonts which mostly are straight lines. I am referring to brush 5. Simply draw a star and you can see. Please make a function or butt to turn this thickness on and off.

I would recommend adding every unicode glyph. Even if the font size would exceed 65K, Just add every glyph. Extended glyphs would just be boxes or in a different font.

Arabic script is not supported, looking forward to adding Arabic characters

Updated Review: (04-24-20) I still believe, iFontmaker, is the very best font creation tool available on iOS, bar none. In my opinion, you simply will not find a better app to create fonts anywhere on iOS. Plus, the new landscape function added recently makes iFontmaker even nicer to use I've found, thank you for that great new option. I do have one request, though, and thank you if you'll consider my request. I was wondering if you would please consider offering iFontmaker on the iPhone as well? I've tried many so-called font creation apps on the iPhone and they are all straight garbage as far as I'm concerned and they do not offer the great features that this app has always offered in my opinion. If you would please consider making iFontmaker universal and compatible for the iPhone as well, I would be immensely grateful, thank you. And I do realize that using this app on an iPhone, that the user would be working with a smaller drawing canvas. But, if you own and use something such as the Plus version of the iPhone, like an iPhone 8 Plus, I don't really feel it would be too bad having such a smaller canvas to create fonts on at all. I'd be willing to put up with the smaller screen on an iPhone if it meant I finally had a true, quality font creation tool like iFontmaker to use on my phone. Thanks please if you'll give some serious thought to bringing this great app to the iPhone as well. It would mean so much to me if you would. I'd even be willing to buy the app again as an iPhone version if you chose not to make it universal. I mean, I'd prefer it be universal, but I love this program so much that I wouldn't mind paying for it one more time for my iPhone. So, thank you again if you'll consider my feature request, for all of the time and hard work I'm sure you've put into this app over the years, for selling it ethically and morally for one fair price always and not using that vile subscription scam stuff and God bless. iPad Pro 12.9 (2017) / iOS 13.3.1 Original Review: Whenever I see an update for an application that I own, I always like to wait until some new reviews are in before I update. With this new update there were no new reviews to let me know if it was a good idea or not to upgrade the app. But, I just have to say that I am overjoyed that I took the chance and upgraded! Everything that worked wonderfully about the application still works, at least on my device it does. So, that is good news in my opinion. But, the new stuff that was added is just awesome. Playing around with the new Bezier Tool, oh my gosh, something I never knew I wanted but now that I have it I wish it had always been an option. It helps you to design font letters, numbers, characters, etcetera, in a way you previously couldn't, at least not without a lot of tiresome effort. Also, there are new shapes available like stars and hearts and a few others. I haven't tried those out yet, but they look like they will be a lot of fun to help you design your fonts. You also get new line brushes which I just love the newest editions. You get one brush that has an uneven stroke and I think it can help you create some really cool font designs. I didn't count how many new brushes, but I think it is like four or five new ones along with those fun shapes. I haven't found or figured out yet how to do the image and animated GIF export, but just the prospect of that is super exciting to me. I'm sure they are in there, though. I just got so excited and wanted to leave my new review, that I haven't had much time to check out the entire list of new features. Also, just the app in general looks really good I think, I really could tell they reworked the design but still kept it familiar. Well, I am off back into the app to explore the new features and design a new font. If you were like me and hesitant to update, I would say don't be because I think the new features are just killer. My sincere thanks and gratitude to the developer for all of the time, effort and hard work that you no doubt put into refining, polishing and reworking things for this superb update. I do wish, though, that this wonderful application could please be Universal so that I could use it on my iPhone as well please, thank you. Thanks again for this stellar update and God bless. iPad Air 2/ iOS 8.3 Edit: 06-21-15 I just figured out how the new Export image and Export animated GIF function works! I love it! When you have created fonts and you are using the Preview function where you type in characters to see what your font looks like. In that window in the bottom right corner, there is that share icon that you see throughout Apple devices. It is that icon with the square and the upward arrow pointing out the top of it. Anyways, when you click that you get the option to export a static image and also export an animated GIF file (though, I wish there was a "Save Image" option in that share menu and not just the "Email" and social network share options.). But, once you have typed more than one letter in the Preview window and if you then share it as an animated GIF. It will then create a GIF with every letter that you've typed so far in the Preview window and animate them one after another. I think it's really awesome and a superb way to showcase what your created font looks like to other people. So, thanks a lot for these wonderful new options.

I’ve had this app for years, and it has been reliable for many of them but as of late it keeps on crashing, and I don’t want to lose the fonts I have already created by deleting the app to reinstall. Also a lot of my older fonts crash the app when I try to access them.

Even though this app is amazing and is one of the only apps where you can create your own fonts, whenever I try to use a glyph that has a Unicode value beyond U+FFFF, I just get this icon that looks like the letter A, regardless of what glyph I am using.
