Take this guide with you when you walk the Bibbulmun Track. It has all the information you need to navigate and prepare for the Track. This app was produced by the same Western Australian company that made the Munda Biddi Trail Guide and Cape to Cape Track Guide apps. The guide works 100% without needing mobile phone reception or internet access. The offline contour maps are very detailed and optimised to look excellent on a phone. They show the Bibbulmun Track, your location via GPS, and are marked with campsites, places to get water and food, alternative accommodation, and many points of interest. Almost 300 places are described. Tap map markers to get detailed information and photos of places. This includes all campsites, sights, towns, and every segment of the track. The app map shows you how many kilometres you are from places like campsites and towns and has an interactive elevation graph so you can see what hills lie between you and those places. The app has advice on how to prepare for your trip, what gear to bring, when to walk, transport to and from the track, and suitable food. It has many other features, photos, and information, as described below. FEATURES: • Very detailed offline maps. They ALWAYS work, even when mobile phone coverage and internet are not available. • The map shows contour lines. • The map is tuned to look great on a small phone screen. It shows details that a hiker in the bush needs, such as minor tracks and trails at zoom levels where most other maps hide them. Zoom out and tracks don’t disappear from your map! This makes following Bibbulmun Track redirections easy, and getting back to the track if you lose it becomes trivial. Great for your safety, and easier for you to navigate, even with a tiny screen. • Uses GPS to show your location on the map. • The map has extra markers for campsites, towns, places where you can get food, attractions, swimming spots, and other points of interest. • Tap place markers on the map and see your distance from them along the track. See how far away that campsite is! • An elevation graph that you can zoom and swipe to see all the hills and valleys along the track. • The elevation graph shows your location and markers for towns, campsites, and other places. Do you have to walk up any big hills to get to that campsite? • Tap campsite, town, sightseeing, and other markers on the map to get detailed information and photographs for those places. • Includes a map showing places where you can get drinking water, where you can swim, and a map showing toilets along the track. • Has descriptions and pictures of each section of the Track. • Provides detailed information on paid accommodation options outside towns for those who want a bit more luxury than camping! • Has a track overview, and information about shelters, drinking water, safety, weather, animals, and the history of the Bibbulmun Track. • No mobile phone coverage or internet is needed for the app to work. Put your phone in Airplane Mode to save battery power and continue to use the app (your phone’s GPS will still work in Airplane Mode). • The app turns off GPS when the screen is turned off, so it will not use phone power when you are not using it. • The guide has loads of beautiful photographs of the Track to inspire you! You should never get lost because the maps always work and show you where you are, even when you stray from the Track. The great detail on the maps makes it easy to follow bush tracks and paths to get back to the Track. This app was built by a small Western Australian software company. We’ve walked the Track and have extensive backpacking experience. We’re confident our Bibbulmun Track Guide app will make your trip easier to plan, safer, and more fun.}

I used this app to plan a hike last week. It’s so easy to use and has tons of useful and helpful information. It makes planning the logistics of the trip so easy. Also love the fact that we can turn on the gps and instantly see if we are on the track. This is a huge relief in sections without many markers. I can’t imagine hiking the Bibbulmun Track without this powerful resource in my pocket.

Bought this on the strength of the Developer’s ‘sister’ app for the Munda Biddi bike trail. The Munda app is incredibly user friendly, works beautifully on and off the trail, with or with out mobile coverage. Used it to prepare for the ride and it kept us from getting lost on the trail! I have no doubt the Bib app will be equally as a good.

Very limited info on this app, buy the maps instead. I found it rather useless except for updating ourselves on how far to our next campsite. There is scope for so much more.
