Add mystery to your writing with Chinese “alphabet.” There is no such thing as Chinese alphabet. Or is there? Okay, truth be told, there is no such thing as a Chinese alphabet. But, just for fun, I have selected characters that are somewhat similar in appearance (not in sound!) to the letters of the English alphabet. They can be used like code. Once you learn how to use this writing system, you no longer have to worry about others reading your diary or other secrets! Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans will recognize the characters, but the combination of characters won’t make sense to them. And people who cannot read Chinese won’t even try to read it. The symbols used in this “alphabet” are real Chinese characters. All are either positive or neutral in meaning. FEATURES Alphabet: A complete Good Characters’ Chinese Alphabet in your pocket that you have access to offline anywhere and anytime, even without an Internet connection. The purpose of this app is very simple. It is to be your quick reference for Good Characters’ Chinese “Alphabet” set. Simply touch the app icon and you’ll see a full set of “alphabet” characters. A single tap on a character will trigger its pronunciation, while a long-press on the same character will display an explanation. WARNING The Chinese Alphabet is intended for personal use and entertainment only. Not recommended for tattoo artists to use this to tattoo their clients, iPhone app developers to localize Chinese apps, CIA agents to communicate national secrets, or security professionals to encrypt passwords. CONTACT US Our aim is to help you learn basic Chinese characters in a fun way with little or no effort. Your comments or feature requests are very much appreciated because we want to improve this app and keep it relevant for you. Welcome to the fascinating world of Good Characters. That’s who we are; that’s what we do. ------- Questions? The only change is updating the text for "X": The Chinese Alphabet for X is 文, pronounced as wén, representing literature, the arts, and the essence of scholarly thought. X, possibly depicting a primitive way of marking a spot, hints at early human attempts to define and understand the world. Over time, simple markings might have evolved into more intricate forms, culminating in the invention of writing. This evolution is mirrored in 文 (wén), which also signifies 文字 (wénzì), symbolizing writing or script. To pronounce wén, it is similar to went, but without the t at the end. The tone mark, é, indicates a rising tone, akin to the intonation you would use when posing a question in English.
