We joined Boondockers & Harvest Hosts as separate organizations in 2018 - our membership number is only 4 digits long! We became Boondockers hosts then as well & have met some wonderful people from around North America & England. We love the variety of places we get to overnight, the ease of booking & of cancelling (because we all know anything can happen to the best laid plans). We’ve ended up in some great out-of-the-way places that we never would have visited ordinarily, so thank you Harvest Hosts for so many awesome memories!

I stopped using this app three years ago when I found FROM THEIR MOUTH that they had the ability to impersonate any member and chat with you through their messaging system without you knowing! It happened to me where a host was messaging me but the words were making no sense in comparison to what we had already discussed. When I called Harvest Host, they told me it was them! I was like, wait, WHAT?! In shock. “I’m talking about the message I got from the host” I repeated, “Yes!” said the Harvest Host CSR, and then continued; “We have the ability to impersonate ANY member and use their messaging whenever we want!” Must be an American company. Lying and cheating instead of being honest. You wouldn’t believe what else they scamming you with! Of course, being beaten up by another member on location while staying quietly in the woods, and being sexually assaulted by another at another location was a couple of other really good reasons!!! They did nothing when I called them! I’m just a 5 foot 4, 110 pound nice female from Canada. Even your “good” people would be in our JAILS.

Harvest Host/Boondocker’s welcome is the perfect compliment to vanlife… especially if you like beer (or farm fresh products, or wine or spirits!)! We ended up going places we never would have gone, and the Hosts are always so kind and gracious! Thank you HH! We love you!

Super nice staff. Very welcoming and helpful. Great food and atmosphere. Also if you are able to do it I recommend doing the shooting simulation. Also, it’s Next to the highway so if you are a light sleeper I suggest something to drown out the traffic noise. Doesn’t bother me though. I I’ll be back soon.

The app is very important and works well, especially the map function. However, when you put in a stay request, I find some hosts never respond and it is necessary to put in another request somewhere else. There is no way currently to cancel a stay request - this is a flaw in the app. I know there is a "Cancel Stay" button, but it's not a stay when the request was never answered.

Harvest Host has been the best of our camping adventure!! We have enjoyed staying at the locations and each one has been great! So glad we joined!

My experiences as a host and a guest have made RVing a much better experience than anonymity in a regular campground or a rest area. Try it, you’ll love it. Always exceptions, but I’ve never had a bad experience. .

I’ve been a Harvest Host member for about 5 years. Up until this year, it was a reasonable alternative to a State Park when just needing a quick one night stay, or on a busy weekend. The agreement was to purchase something or make a fair donation. Now the Hosts are requesting a $30 donation in lieu of purchasing say…eggs. This is more than many State Parks! Seems to be getting a bit out of hand.
