Mileage by Hnry

Love the mileage app. I’m a mobile makeup artist and do a lot of driving and this makes tracking my trips so much easier

The app is buggy and the UI/UX is rather poor. It does have potential but it should have been polished more before launch. Editing a trip sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. I can’t scroll up addresses that I’ve saved so can’t click the top ones (ie: HOME… facepalm). Manual inputting of a trip also sometimes works, not other times. If you happen to go through a tunnel, this throws the tracking off, there should be an intuitive way to merge those two split trips. The app should also “learn” your regular locations so that, even if it has logged a location nearby, it could simply ask “were you at XYZ by any chance?”. Keep working on this please

1. No way to manually add a trip in. 2. You have to grant the app permissions to always be able to access your location (even in the background). If I don’t want to grant these, I should be able to manually enter trip details. 3. It uses a separate account instead of your usual Hnry account (and doesn’t automatically link the two). I’m marked as a “Free User” despite maxing out my annual fee paid to Hnry 🤷‍♂️ 4. The magic code took way too long to arrive. It should be near instant - not a problem with other services that I use. 5. Doing anything in the app (like reviewing the vehicle details) triggers a few seconds of loading. Consider prefetching data in the background and/or caching it.

Unfortunately the automatic tracking is pretty unreliable. The gps tracking is pretty inaccurate and often splits trips up into lots of small trips that often don’t start or end in the right place, or even take the right roads. The result is a mess of trips to sort through and inaccurate mileage.

Today the app is unable to record automatically, can’t figure it out. Lost all mileage today.

I didn’t even track my mileage before because I always forgot and it was so time consuming! This takes alllll the hassle out of it! LOVE IT

I have the same issue as another user mentioned. I can’t link my account

App worked great while it was in beta but now it’s published it doesn’t function correctly. Can’t link to main Hnry account which kind of defeats the purpose.
