Credit reference agencies keep a record of all searches and this allows financiers to see when and how many times other financiers have accessed your credit information. This information may then be used in an assessment to accept or decline your application for an account or borrowing. Extended policies make banking extremely difficult. Also, if you require two bank accounts you won’t be able to operate them which is a hassle. Finally, no search option on account meaning the only way to find a transaction is to search manually. Choose elsewhere.

Easy app to use however they do miss some easy way to look at transactions like how Halifax does where you can just click on in- out so you can see all the money coming in or going out in one click. Secondly a easy way to see upcoming payments.

The customer support is poor. You send a message within the app and wait for a response. This isn’t great if you need urgent assistance. The response time can be infuriating each time you ask a question. Secondly, you closed your desktop version of HSBC Kinetic. Very disappointing. Thirdly, you have no search facility in the app to make it easier when looking through old bank statements. All of the above are things that Lloyds Banking Group have. Sort it out or I’m moving to them.

The app is very unreliable to open- you’ll be confronted during login with ‘No connection’ and you can’t progress It won’t work internationally at all, I travel a lot with work and find this an enormous pain because HSBC doesn’t offer web access meaning this stupid app is the only way to interact with your accounts. The customer technical support is none existent, I have raised multiple requests and not a single one has been responded to…zero, which is just astounding. I wish one have opened a business account with another bank. I assumed it would be easier given I have personal accounts with HSBC, it’s just turned out to be more problematic.

To start with, customer service is terrible. You wait at least 10-15 minutes on the phone to then speak to someone who is reading a script/instruction on the questions you ask. Majority aren’t English, which means, you struggle to understand them. I had two iPhones, one business and one personal, with 2 apps, and never had a problem for 10 months. This week, there was an issue with the app and I didn’t know so I deleted the app and try to login in again. However I forgot my password because I had Face ID and I never had to do password. After one hour on the phone they said I had to go to the branch which is half an hour away from my office. Once I get to the office another hour before I get sorted. I tried to go on the app the day after and I couldn’t go on my personal phone. I called them again, 12 minutes waiting, and finally their answer is I can only have the app on one device!!!! I said how come I had it for 10 months and I never had any issues??? Their answer was there must be something wrong!!!! I am a franchise and I have been told to use this kinetic!! However I used use LLOYDS BUSINESS BANKING for 12 years, with my previous business, and I have never experienced such a terrible customer support service!!!

Just updated to the latest version and was disappointed to find out that I am still unable to add this to Apple Pay despite being told that the latest version supports Apple Pay.

Overall a good app with decent connectivity to Xero but not ability to use Apple Pay is a significant failing for a mobile only app. If I’m travelling on business on a transport network, I don’t want to having to get my wallet every time just to pay for a bus or underground trip. Really lets it down on my opinion hence the low rating.
