Since yesterday 26th of April 2024 the app crashes at the moment you choose the irig blueboard in its bluetooth options. Both on iPad 8th Gen and iPhone 13 pro max with no updates on that particular day. Please, fix that!

The app fails to find any BlueBoard when started in update mode. The boards I've tried all are found by the normal BlueBoard app. Utterly useless updater app.

I have been a pro guitarist for more than 20 years, and owned many tube amps. My blueboard updated perfectly. The pedalboard works perfectly and works perfectly and painlessly with my Irig HD 2 and Amplitube. Got killer tones I can switch on, the Engl and 5150 sound and feel incredible (ironically, the cheaper 1 channel model from Amplitube, not the full featured amp). I started on a Zoom 9000.....this setup from IK is painless, extremely easy to use and it sounds killer. When I hear people spending 3k on an Axe FX or Kemper, I just shake my head in disbelief. This setup from IK to me sounds BETTER and it exponentially cheaper. I have no problem making records with this. To think it works even on an old cheap iphone...wow.

IK or Apple need to remove this from the App Store. Plain and simple, it doesn’t work. And, as others have mentioned, updating the hardware this is written for doesn’t work using any method. The app is a waste of time, and the product is, frankly, a waste of money. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR — RETURN YOUR BLUEBOARD, DELETE THE IK APPS, AND BUY A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT.

After repeated emails to IK Multimedia support, about the impossible Catch-22 situation that occurs when trying to update the firmware on the Blueboard as a Mac user, I’ve now had the same madly frustrating experience with this so-called firmware updater. The app says to connect first using the normal Blueboard ios app and, then, to run this app to use the wireless connection to make the firmware update. The problem, however, is that the first app only connects when the Blueboard is started with one of the first three A, B, or C keys selected but the second app requires the user to restart with the D button pressed (update firmware mode, or whatever). The result is that it’s impossible to do both at the same time and therefore to complete the instructions. Putting it into ‘update mode’ disconnects it from iPhone or iPad. This is almost a perfect copy of the impossibly dumb instructions on updating the firmware for Mac on the IKMultimedia website, the subject of countless forum threads the company simply ignores. The software for the Mac update, I’m not kidding, runs only on a PC! And even then appears to crash on all versions of Windows except 8! This is, without doubt, the worst electronic product I have ever purchased, matched only by the most inept and contradictory software I’ve ever encountered. And Don’t get me started on their ‘support’!. AVOID this utter rubbish.

Just like everyone else said. This app does not work at all. Have not been able to update firmware by wire either. Without firmware update BlueBoard will not communicate with other apps such as Quantiloop. I am now strongly regretting my blueboard purchase.
