“Cam Measure” is a simple and practical long-range non-contact measurement tool. You can use the build-in camera to measure the horizontal distance, vertical height, width and area of any object in your surroundings seen through the camera lens. It is very intuitive and easy!
Whether the object is indoor or outdoor, the App is extremely useful. You can estimate how far the building is away from you, the height of the building, the height of the tree, the distance between the ship and you, the distance of the golf hole, etc. You also can estimate the height of the furniture, the width of the table, the area of the window, etc.

【Distance Measurement】
■ Step 1: Set the height of the camera lens.
■ Step 2: Place the crosshair at the BASE of the object.
■ Step 3: Tap the "END" button, the result will be displayed automatically.
(Note: "the BASE of the object" should be on the same level as the "start point of the height of the lens").
【Height Measurement】
■ Step 1: Set the height of the camera lens.
■ Step 2: Place the crosshair at the BASE of the object.
■ Step 3: Place the crosshair at the TOP of the object.
■ Step 4: Tap the “END” button, the result will be displayed automatically.
【Shape Measurement】
■ Step 1: Set the height of the camera lens.
■ Step 2: Place the crosshair at the BASE of the object.
■ Step 3: Place the crosshair at the TOP of the same object.
■ Step 4: Fit the same object in the frame, then tap the “START” button.
■ Step 5: Keep the distance and the height of the camera, change the shape of the rectangle to match the shape of anything, then the length, width and area of the object will be displayed automatically.
【Tilt Calibrate Adjustment】
This App measures the distance to the object according to the camera lens height and tilt angle. The height of the lens can be adjusted manually, the inclination is provided by the device's built-in sensor. Due to the differences in the built-in sensors for each iOS device, the inclination provided may be inaccurate, thus we provide the tilt calibrate adjustment function, which you can find it at the “Settings” view.
The correction parameter is a percentage value that can be positive and negative, and the default value is not corrected (value is 0). If it is set to “5”, the inclination value will apply “5%” correction for positive correction; if it is set to “-5”, the inclination value will apply “5%” correction in negative.
You can find a object with known distance (such as the spread ruler), and measure the height of the camera lens height accurately (such as fix your iOS device on a tripod to measure). Using the "horizontal distance measurement" function to get the distance. If the distance is inaccurate, adjust the adjustment parameter. And ultimately make the measurement results consistent with the known value.
Once the parameter is set, it will be saved automatically, and will be used in every measurement, whether it is distance, height, shape and area.

Measurements taken with this App are not as accurate as measurements taken with standard tools. Do not use it for construction or other uses where inaccurate measurements could cause personal injury or property damage.
