Updated March 2024. Super easy! Browse by color, shape, or name. Flip through screens like pages of a book. Boost your fish ID skills with Quiz Mode. Photos and descriptions of 280 fish commonly seen by snorkelers and divers. Turtles too. - Created for snorkelers & divers. - Find fish & turtles quickly by color, shape, family group, or name - Multiple photos: juveniles, males, females etc. - 280 species / 845 photos / informative text / accurate IDs - Sharpen your fish ID skills with interactive Quiz Mode - Logbook: Save fish you've seen, add notes, email Logbook (text only). - Works great on iPads too. Major photography by Robert F. Myers (www.seaclicks.com) & Kevin Bryant (www.flickr.com/photos/mentalblock). Text and design by John Hoover, author of Hawaii's best-selling marine life ID books: The Ultimate Guide to Hawaiian Reef Fishes, and: Hawaii's Sea Creatures. Check them out on Amazon. Note: This is a basic "Fish ID 101" type app. For complete coverage of all 600+ species, I recommend the book "Reef Fish ID" by Paul Humann and Ned DeLoach.}

Great app! It’s well-organized, has useful pictures for each fish and their phases, and the flashcards make it easy to learn.

I was happy to pay this, instead of buying the large book, but now I deeply regret it. There’s not nearly enough species in the categories. For example, there are 114 butterfly fish species in the world, and this app has info on 5. Update your app.

I love the function of this app. I can quickly find what I’m looking for in a variety of ways—shape, color, name, etc. It doesn’t cover every species known to man, but does a great job of covering the fish you are most likely to see in the Caribbean. Easy to read. Not too much scientific mumbo-jumbo. I also enjoy the attached comments that give you additional info about size and behaviors. Thank you for creating an informative and easy-to-use app! Hope it continues to evolve. Would love to see it expanded to include the most common corals.
