The One Minute Changes app is a free app from Justinguitar.com to help beginner guitarists using my Beginner's Course keep track of the amount of chord changes they can do! All the chords used in the course are built in, but you can add in your own too, see statistics and it will automatically pick the chords you struggle with most if you ask it to! If you dig it, please check out my other apps :) }

This app is great for keeping track of chord changes, but the interface isn’t very intuitive, and if you try to tag a chord the writing is invisible. Also, if you want to see your lowest chord scores, it includes those with 0 changes if you haven’t practiced that chord. But still a very useful app. ALSO: it would be great to add a feature of you could see your progress over time by dates. It would be very motivating if you have 20 changes and get up to 40 in a few weeks!

Great for doing a few minutes of chord changes every day to warm up and strengthen my fingers. Amazing to see how scores improve as days go by.

This is a free app, it provides the chord charts for you and you just count as you go and enter the tallyat the end. Dont cheat,femember you’re building muscle memory so take itas slow as you need to. You’ll be able to see your improvement. As you advance you can add chords to the chord bank too.

Initially I did not use the app as felt no need but one day had a go with it as part of my practice routine. Have to say a good simple app. I did not think you could save the scores which I thought made it pointless but then had a look at reviews here advising to press play after finishing. Be good if it saved it automatically at end of countdown if it was a higher score.

I’ve started using this, it’s a really good tool to fit into daily practice, be nice if it came with a comprehensive dictionary of chords but that doesn’t really matter so much if you know the main chords. Keep up the good work !

This is basically just a timer that shows you two random chords from the selected set. You can enter the number of changes manually and it will save statistics on each chord to show you the problem ones. While it’s good, it does not actually count the chord changes, I expected this app to listen to me playing, detect chord strum and count automatically. It does not do that. App does not save history of your practice, only the high score, so you cannot see your progress at all, but it would be handy to have some kind if a graph. The countdown is awkward - all the beeps are the same tones, while I expect the last beep to sound differently and always end up starting practice couple of seconds later because I didn’t realize the beep I heard was the signl to start practice

I’ve been using many teachers, presentations, books and styles for years.. but recently I started to focus more on Justin’s style. I’m somewhere around intermediate (what is a “level” anyway?😀😀❤️🎶) but I’ve found that going back to basics can really help the fundamentals of your play.. dynamics, strumming patterns, bass lines on EAD etc.. This little app is great for channeling your beat improvement as well as your accuracy.. fast. The real beauty is that you can add in your own chords... especially barre chords... fantastic to be able to zip up to Bm on the 7th to an open C7.. over and over without missing a beat

This app is basically a way to manage a particularly effective practice method for chord changes. I have been getting into some more jazz-inspired blues stuff and there are some real finger twisters in it. You need to drill those changes a lot. One thing that would make this app even better would be to show a history of what changes you practiced when, how many rounds you did on a particular day, etc. A practice mode where it shows you neglected chord changes would be great too. You could have something down cold, but if you don’t touch it for months it will degrade. All in all, a good app that is worth the few quid.

We've updated the screen layouts for iOS 13. You can now also save chords with a / in the name.
