Simulate learning creatures
Description (
Characters: 879 of 4000
)
Use joints, bones and muscles to build creatures that are only limited by your imagination. Watch how the combination of neural networks and an evolutionary algorithm can enable your creatures to learn and improve at their given tasks all on their own. The tasks include running, jumping, climbing and flying. Can you design the ultimate creature that is good at all of the tasks? The latest update allows you to easily share your simulation saves and creature designs with your friends. Note that this is more of a simulation than a game. There are no real objectives. But there is a lot to learn if you are interested in the basics of machine learning and neural networks. You can even look at the source code if you want. There is also a Mac & PC version available for download and a browser version for you to try out on the main project website (keiwando.com/evolution).}

My suggestion for this game is adding a life simulation. Players could decide if their creature is predator or prey, and add them to some kind of terrain. Maybe you could also add water creatures as well.

This game is extremely underrated, it’s simple fun being able to make whatever you think of.

This game is very fun however this may not be on the developers side but I made this complex creature and it freezes at around gen 6-10 this might just be me. However I would definitely recommend it.

- Stability Improvements Changes in version 4.0: - Save recordings of your favourite simulation results in the new gallery. - Choose from a list of skins such as googly eyes, noses, hands, feet and more and attach them to your creature's bones for a more personalized look. Skins are purely cosmetic and do not affect the simulation. - Tap a selection of body components with the move tool to show scale and rotation handles for precise adjustments. This is especially useful for fine-tuning the orientation and size of the new skins. - Improved the performance of save file loading and saving and reduced the memory usage during the simulation. - The camera now follows the creatures vertically as well, so your flying creatures won't fly out of view. - Added a background grid to the simulation screen to help see the movement of flying creatures once the ground is no longer visible. - Improved UI layout for different screen sizes and resolutions. - Improved the visual quality of the UI. - Other bug fixes and stability improvements.
