100% worth it I’m am a beginner 2d artist and I was looking for a free 2d animation app but the ones I found were no good, but then I heard of the app toonsqsqwid. I have been using it ever since It’s great! Tip: if you had trouble with the app you can find some great tutorials on YouTube!

Easy to use, all the features you can shake a stick at! I’m surprised at how simple it all is while packing in everything. This beats Adobe animate in basically all ways. And you can use it on the couch!

So I used to animation desk when I was way younger but then I switched to flipaclip in like 2023. I thought it was honestly the best except after some times I noticed some MAJOR flaws from the app. For example the PREMIUM feature annoyed me so much and they didn’t have enough resources for me to animate easier. So I decided it was time to switched to an actual paid feature. So it was between Procreate dreams and Toonsquid, I searched so stuff up about both of the apps and found out the horrible news. Procreate dreams doesn't have a lasso tool. like what? and overall Toonsquid is cheaper and has better features. Flipaclip is still good I guess if you still don’t want to pay anything but Toonsquid is more of the way to go especially since they added the new 2.0 feature honestly the cherry on top this app is literally so underrated. Thank you Toonsquid, thank you.

Take notes Procreate Dreams - this is how animation software and interface should have be done! It should encourage you to create and not have to bulldozer your way through a clumsy interface. bravo ToonSquid I would have given you five stars, but there isn’t a setting to snap the bones together so that they stay together continuously even if you pull on them (check out Moho 14) other than that great job!!

This app is really good, barely any bugs and amazing experience. To anyone worried about the price tag, trust me it’s worth it. It includes tweening, rigging and so much more. Will definitely fulfill your needs.

This update reintroduces the vector layer from ToonSquid 1 as the default drawing destination for vector brushes instead of always creating vector groups. It also disables the automatic vector group creation when adding path layers via the path tool or the shape library by default. Vector groups continue to be a powerful feature in ToonSquid 2.0 and you can choose to opt in to only working with vector groups in the ToonSquid settings by changing the "General > Vector Workflow Preference" setting to "Vector Group" and by enabling the "Tools > Path > Create Vector Groups" setting. You can now also choose to manually convert any vector layer to a vector group in order to access, edit and potentially animate the individual shapes inside, and you can convert vector groups to vector layers if you prefer to work with a singular layer instead of a group. Tap the vector layer / vector group and choose "Create Vector Group" / "Create Vector Layer". If you had previously opened an older project from ToonSquid 1 in ToonSquid 2 which had converted all of your vector layers to vector groups, you can convert all of them back into vector layers at once by following these steps: 1. Open the project. 2. Tap on "Actions" at the top. 3. Tap on "Settings". 4. Select the "Info" tab on the left. 5. Scroll down and select "Convert Vector Groups to Vector Layers".
