created an account, tried to log in a minute later and said invalid email/password. tried again, same result. sent an email for password reset, no email came. tried that again, same result. absolutely ridiculous.

Have been using this Instacart app for most of 2020. Before COVID19, had issues shopping at the Cub stores as I needed to use their battery ride on shopping carts. Never one around when you need one. So gave delivery app a try. Prices in app can be different than those in the store on the same day. App uses averaged pricing based on pricing at other surrounding Cub stores. My local store may have a special my store only sale. You won’t get that with the app. If you use a Cub Rewards card, you won’t get coupon book special pricing that require the card. Also, internet flyers where you have to select specials to add to card don’t take either. Checkout is thru Instacart system and doesn’t connect to the Rewards card. If you collect product loyalty points like Kellogg’s program, there is no connection thru this app to those loyalty programs. If you need to order heavier items like bag of cat litter, 24-pack of pop, etc. there is a ‘heavy order’ fee added in addition to other fees. If you don’t subscribe to the monthly subscription plan, before shopper tip, figure on at least $10-$15 of fees added to your order. Then any tax and amount you tip the shopper. If an item you have on your list is out of stock, there is a pretty good method to select alternatives ahead of time, or ask for refund of that item if no other options. Problem I’ve had is listing a 2lb bag of something and you can only substitute a single 1lb bag. Replacement options don’t let you pick two smaller items to equal the larger one that is out of stock. App works well for standard packed items in boxes, bottles, bags, cans, etc. Where it gets a bit scary is giving the shopper info about fresh produce items, or meat seafood counter items where it takes some judgement on the size, quality or quantity of something. You and the shopper may have widely different ideas. And the app not great at helping make selections of meat items by weight. You have to enter a weight and it gives no info on average sizes. This is where most of the issues occur with getting what you expect.

I was going to do amazons grocery delivery but their product prices were way off, so I appreciated being able to shop through my regular store at the prices I am familiar with. My shopper was very good about getting any replacements approved and even sent me a picture of the store to view my options. The whole process didn’t take very long, and while i would like a lower service charge in the future it wasn’t any more than what you would pay for getting take out delivered (percentage of cost for service, plus tip for driver) plus my house has covid so it was super awesome to still be able to get fresh groceries. Thank you so so much!

As someone who got infected w COVID I just want to be able to place an order for PICKUP so that someone can pick it up for me and deliver it to my home, but the way you run this app is literally dumb. Don’t wanna go infect anyone but just might have to do this myself. Thanks!

You will find service fees sneakily buried in your bill and they are a percentage of your total. I tipped high for the sake of employees but this service charges will kill you. I am also trying to cancel my trial and the App is not intuitive at all. In an email reminder I got, it says click her to update your account and the link take you to the home screen of the App. I’ve tried to go into setting but of course no obvious way to cancel. Only have 2 stars bc the employees that shopped for me were great!!

I tried the delivery a few days ago. Granted, during the Coronovirus crisis I would expect shortages but this was ridiculous! Out of 19 items on my list they only had 3. I tried to send a chat message on the app to my shopper to just cancel my order but it doesn’t work. I called the store to cancel the order but they would not help me.
