AUv3 Synth with different OSCs
Description (
Characters: 2708 of 4000
)
Elastic OSC is a synthesizer app based on the DSP code of the Mutable Instruments Plaits hardware oscillator module, one of the most beloved (and cloned) oscillator modules in the Eurorack modular scene! Like the original, Elastic OSC comes with a wide variety of possible sounds, from analog-style, FM, and additive sounds to physical modeling, percussive, and even drum sounds. Elastic OSC can be used in both monophonic and 8-voice polyphonic modes. You can play the app using the (on-screen) keyboard or an external keyboard or sequencer inside your DAW of choice. The app focuses on ease of use, featuring two XY pads for intuitive sound manipulation of the OSC engine and the effects. Despite the simplicity of the cleaned-up interface, the sound possibilities are vast – thanks to 24 different oscillator models and the ability to automate parameter changes, as it is possible in all Elastic apps released so far. A versatile Arpeggiator makes it easy to start with simple ideas or can already create entire sonic worlds. Elastic OSC includes an integrated help system (tap “?”) to provide explanations for nearly every GUI element, the underlying DSP model, and most of the app’s functionality. CDM: "Elastic OSC becomes a must on iOS. It’s fun to use as an instrument in your iPad DAW of choice." SYNTH ANATOMY: "Takes the Mutable Instruments (Plaits) algorithms on a wild trip. A nearly perfect app." ROBERT LIPPOK: "Elastic OSC is incredibly fun to work with from the very first minute. The GUI is really well thought out and has 24 integrated synthesis models, as well as the ability to load DX7 sound banks. Omg, so good." --- FEATURES --- SYNTHESIZER – 24 different Sound Engines from MI Plaits DSP code – 4 main parameters per synth engine (Frequency, Harmonics, Morph, Harmo) – Recordable Modulations/Automations for almost all Parameters with a length of 1, 2 or 4 beats. – ADSR Envelope for Amplifier – LPG Envelope for Modulations of Timbre, FM, Harmonics – Adjustable Velocity effect on Volume and/or LPG Modulation – DX7 Bank and Wavetable Import ARPEGGIATOR With different Arp Modes, Rates, Octave Ranges and Skip Notes functionality MASTER FX – 5 effects (5 different Overdrive/Distortions, Hi-Low-Filter, Chorus/Flanger, Delay, Reverb) – Automations for all effects parameters – Master Gain and switchable Limiter effect SYNTH ENGINES - Virtual Analog - Waveshaping - 2 OP FM - Granular Formant - Additive - Wavetable - Chords - Speech - Granular Cloud - Filtered Noise - Particle Noise - String Model - Modal Resonator - Bass Drum - Snare Drum - Hi-Hat - Virt. This synth has some many sounds and things to do to the sounds, you could really get by with this being the only synth you have if you needed to. So many options, high quality and it especially lends itself to live performance.

War lange auf der Suche nach einem Synth der ein bisschen Modular klingt und gute Effekte hat. Die beiden XY Pads und die vielen Oszillatoren machen einfach Spaß. User Interface schön simpel und optimiert für Touch. Bin begeistert.

I am not one to drop reviews like this. Read article about this synthesizer. So I purchased. In reviews there was a DX7 import. I have versions 1.1.1.82 Hit preset bar pops open window. Immediately, there is no DX7 import button as seen in videos from the company. My next step was try the support option in Apples store. Surely I could send an email? No sent me to a product page with Developer blab about the future. Nowhere to engage. I would happy to remove this review; however, I don’t know how to reach out to them. I was forced to go through Apple to report a problem. Great synth otherwise. But I purchased with idea I could use the DX7 features. What I downloaded in the store either doesn’t have the feature or doesn’t work. I noticed in videos there was DX7 import button. That is missing on the app. I seem to,have a 1.1 version of some kind. But if you released up date to the store, I might suggest verifying it works or has been tested. Sorry. Not trying to be mean but it is what it is.

Interesting, useful, and playful synth. I love the XY pads that hide complexity and invite you to just play around and explore

- Verbessertes LFO-Triggering des Filters - Bugfix: In-App Purchase Restore
1.2.1
Dec 10, 2025
NEW LFO SECTION: Update 1.2 brings the long-awaited LFO support to Elastic OSC.  LFO 1 is free; additional 3 LFOs can be unlocked via In-App Purchase. Each LFO offers: • Frequency (0.02 – 20,000 Hz, or tempo-synced) • Shape (Sine, Triangle, Ramp Up, Ramp Down, Pulse, Sample & Hold) • Fade: Fade-in time after being triggered • Phase: Define the start phase • Sync: Run the LFO in sync with project tempo • Trigger Modes: • Retrigger – restarts with each new note • One Shot – plays a single cycle when triggered • Free – runs freely without retriggering • Enable: Quickly compare modulation by toggling the LFO on/off XY Pad Control • Use the XY Pad to control Frequency (X) and Shape (Y) • Use the XY Pad to record modulation of Frequency and Shape changes 6 MODULATION TARGETS: Following the Plaits / Elastic OSC philosophy (“Keep it simple, with the greatest impact”), the LFO section provides six knobs for controlling the modulation depth of six powerful core targets.: • Frequency Amount • Timbre Amount • Morph Amount • Harmonics Amount • Filter Amount • Pan Amount All Amount knobs can also be automated, enabling dynamic changes of modulation depth. MIX The MIX view lets you define how strongly each active LFO affects a target parameter. The closer a target is placed to an LFO, the stronger its influence. All active LFOs always add up to 100% (e.g., LFO1 50%, LFO2 30%, LFO3 20%). FURTHER CHANGES AND BUGFIXES: - New Presets in LFO Category by Servando - New Presets in LFO Category by Another Machines (AM) - FREQ slider now switches between Octave and Free Pitch mode via double-tap - Sliders now display values, just like knobs - The filter is now polyphonic (and can be shaped with an LFO as a pseudo-envelope) - Added a third keyboard mode for iPhones - Presets can now also be imported via “Open In → Elastic OSC” - Bugfix: Wave Terrain engine could produce unwanted buzzing in certain situations - 6-OP / DX7 engines now display the preset name - General stability improvements (issues in Drambo, etc.)
