I’ve been gearing up to use Camelot Pro to manage MIDI instruments in a church environment, but it’s been frustrating to get easy access to AU native user interfaces quickly when I need to, and I’ve had to juggle multiple windows, which until iPadOS 26 was fiddly. Today, I found Sessions. It was an immediate download after a quick read of the material on the website, and watching a walkthrough. Now I have everything I need - control over the patches and the mix for digital piano, MIDI keyboard, MIDI guitar, and manual access to the UI of my background pad player, all in a single window, easy to navigate, quick to change while on stage. I haven’t ventured into adding additional channels yet for other instruments, or bus effects, but that will come later. Thanks for creating such an easy to use app - I’m looking forward to some of the upcoming features too. Well done!

I purchased this app because it looked like a promising and fantastic way of seamlessly changing AUv3 synth plugins without cutting off existing notes when a new plugin is selected, Cubasis can change Scenes in Sessions using either AUM or Streambyter app, (the latter requires no internal routing), they both serve as a virtual Midi Bridge. Great communication with the developer.

This is IOS’s alternative to my macbook pro Mainstage For live performance this is the real deal. Easy to navigate. It’s solid, doesn’t drop apps, maintains patches, layers patches nicely. It’s a dream come true. Thank you!

Sessions 5.1 works around an issue where some plug-ins were incorrectly obtaining the host sample rate from an inactive input bus format. Sessions will never interrupt you to ask for a review - we don’t like being interrupted either! However, App Store ratings and reviews are important, so if you are enjoying Sessions and have a spare minute, we’d be delighted if you could leave a rating or review on the App Store. Thanks!

Sessions 5.0 introduces two new features - Session Mix and Pinned Scenes - that work together to unlock a whole new way to perform live with Sessions. Session Mix is a new view that provides a bird’s eye view of your entire session. Your 12 Scenes are arranged in a grid with colourful, easy-to-see and easy-to-reach buttons. Designed to be simple and intuitive to use while playing live, Session Mix lets you control all 12 Scene output levels and seamlessly switch Scenes without any other distractions. Session Mix also includes Pinned Scenes that enables you to activate and deactivate additional Scenes alongside the currently selected Scene. This opens the door to new possibilities such as always-on Scenes and delivers the flexibility to treat Scenes as layers that can be seamlessly blended in and out during a live performance. We’ve also added new external MIDI mappings so you can pin / unpin Scenes and adjust individual Scene output levels from your MIDI controller. Sessions 5.0 also includes the following new features and improvements: * Adds an optional Scene name that will be displayed instead of the Scene icon * Improves interaction with gain controls for more accuracy - clicking (or tapping) either side of the knob position adjusts the gain in small steps. Double clicking (or tapping) the knob, resets the gain to 0dB * When adjusting gain from the Macros or MIDI, the dB value is temporarily displayed * The screen will no longer go to sleep when Sessions is the frontmost app [Mac] * Improves error handling for plug-ins that are not compatible with the current audio settings * Fixes an issue with hung notes from certain MIDI controllers when switching Scenes * Fixes an issue that prevented renamed Widget parameters updating on macOS 26 and iPadOS 26 * Fixes an issue that could cause Sessions to quit unexpectedly when opening Settings with certain hardware combinations Sessions will never interrupt you to ask for a review - we don’t like being interrupted either! However, App Store ratings and reviews are important, so if you are enjoying Sessions and have a spare minute, we’d be delighted if you could leave a rating or review on the App Store. Thanks!
